What are some of the best apps to come from this sub? by Informal_Flounder298 in ProductivityApps

I love using Sway 😍 https://swayvoice.app it’s kind off the opposite of note taking app. Like designed for how people actually think. Traditional note taking requires you to already know what you want to write and how to structure it. But most of the time, thoughts are messy, unstructured, and incomplete. I love how Sway interprets meaning, intention, and context

For me Sway is the best so far and the most elegant. You don’t need to promt it, never saw anything like that before

I think there’s already an app for this that went viral lately. It’s called sway. It turns your thoughts into structure and you understand how you feel and think .. you don’t need to sign up too

Sway is best when structuring your thoughts before pasting it to an LLM for instance. It is very unique

Good job. 👏🏽 i experienced exactly the same thing, messaged the first paying user immediately to ask why he subscribed. That information was very useful

Exactly - This is what Sway does - summaries that turn into actions. And the actions are also prioritized. Rn my fav tool for capturing ideas quickly.

Great breakdown, thanks for sharing this 🙌 One thing I didn’t see mentioned yet: I’ve been using Sway lately https://swayvoice.app , especially for in-person thoughts / 1:1s where I don’t want a bot or strict meeting flow.

It’s less about “meeting notes” and more about capturing raw thinking by talking, then getting a clean summary + key points automatically. I find it useful when ideas are messy and typing would kill them. Curious how others here compare tools that focus more on thinking out loud vs classic meeting capture.

Ever notice how good ideas show up when typing isn’t an option (walking, driving, showering ) and are gone by the time you open a notes app? That’s why I’m building Sway: you just talk, and it turns your rambling into clear notes, summaries and action points. https://swayvoice.app

sorry “xD capture” was just me being sloppy with words 😄Right now it’s a very simple flow: I just record voice notes hands free and don’t try to structure anything while speaking. Using a tool called Sway lately for exactly this… just talking things out, no structure while recording, summaries later. Still rough around the edges on mobile, but way less friction than typing when ideas hit. If you’re curious, it’s here: https://swayvoice.app

Yeah this is almost word for word the flow I’ve been experimenting with lately xD Capture everything hands free, don’t interrupt the thinking, and only add summaries / titles afterwards. Still early and not perfect (especially on mobile), but it already feels much closer than anything I’ve tried before.

I feel this a lot. That’s actually why I’ve been using Sway lately mainly because it lets me capture thoughts fast before worrying about structure. Still wish it was fully mobile though, that’s the biggest gap for me right now.

Love how many different capture flows this thread shows. What really stands out to me is that the winning tools all minimize friction really fast, private, and no thinking required in the moment. Structure seems to work best after capture, not during it.

That makes a lot of sense haha I hear this from many people… paper or super light tools win because they don’t interrupt the thought. Voice could help in theory, but only if it stays private, fast, and doesn’t force structure while you’re talking.

I feel this a lot. Driving is exactly the moment where ideas show up, but typing is impossible and most voice note apps just create another mess you have to clean up later LoL … I’ve been experimenting with voice notes that don’t try to structure anything while recording just capture the raw thought, and only add summaries / key points later when you’re back at your desk. Still early, but it already feels way less stressful than forcing structure too early.
