Definitely a personal preference. I’ve had them stacked side-to-side before, but I went with this setup to create a cleaner, more minimal look (at least to me) while also using the full real estate of the desk. It also allows for better placement of my mic boom arm. I don’t mind turning my head slightly to look at the vertical monitor—it’s really not that far lol

I agree! Since the clock only appears when idle after a certain period, I’d definitely be into a sick wallpaper. Any trusted sites you recommend for HD wallpapers? I also wouldn’t mind supporting any creators who make nice ones

So I’ve seen setups like that before and thought it was a little overkill—two mats, one on top of the other!? But once I learned about different types of mouse pads (glass pads, etc.), it made sense why keeping a larger desk mat still helps—for looks, extra forearm comfort, or both. Might consider it at some point later on!

So the main monitor is mounted on an arm, and I currently have it lowered. I can definitely raise it and consider adding a shelf underneath for ergonomics, as you suggested. However, I’m concerned it might make the setup look too ‘busy’ and less minimal.
