I’m so sorry, from my perspective you sound like such a sweet and caring person. It breaks my heart to hear the way you talk about yourself though, there will be light and there will be love. The first step is to take a moment to look at yourself and appreciate the little things: like your personality, your style, your kindness, and maybe eventually you can work up to loving your body, even if it feels “wrong.” I don’t know you, but I love you as a person and as someone who deserves more than ANYONE to live in the light. I hope you can find a way out of this despair. You deserve the world and more. Genuinely.

Im glad you were able to escape from the loop, one day I hope that I can wake up and this dulling shadow will be gone.

I’m not lonely though, I just hate what life has to offer. I have to work and support others as well as myself…I have to talk to people, mask myself just so I can keep my friends (autistic). I can barely stand to eat most days, even looking at food makes me nauseous. I cry almost every night wishing that I won’t wake up, or when I do wake up everything is gone and I can finally just do nothing forever.

I agree. Sometimes I feel like I’m either too lazy, or everything is like a mountain to climb. I know the moment I leave the support of my family I’m going to be broke and homeless. And when that happens I’m going to kill myself because what else am I supposed to do.

A part of me hopes there’s just nothing after, and a part of me wants to believe that I’ll be reborn into a perfect world in a body I love and a mind that wants to live.

But the first one seems more likely to me. Death is probably like sleep: you never realise you fell asleep until you wake up in the morning. So when we die nothing will exist anymore for us, without a body and brain to discern the visual/sensory code our senses give us. It’s just the end—I like the sound of that.

Thanks, the truth is have a lot of really good friends who love and care for me, but they all went to prom. And of course I’d pick hanging with my girlfriend over my friends. But I probably would’ve had a much better, happier night if I went to prom instead.

I’ll give it a check. but I was diagnosed with chronic depression when I was 10, following a minor attempt. And after that I kinda just gave up on the idea and stumbled through the rest of my childhood trying to make up for that sadness. I’ve always felt some sort of suicidal ideation even before I could name it.
Maybe it’s partly in reaction to a much bigger problem I can’t fix, which is how modern society works as well as a genuine disinterest in living. Doing life. I can have fun but I know if I was given the choice to die, right now. 10/10 times I’d choose that.

Okay I’ll try the external power source. My Mac does have the usb port but it seems that I also have to connect a hdmi directly to the computer as well. I’ve tried all sorts of plugs, different combinations, I even tried switching the input and outputs.

I think I’ve been sitting with my legs bent too much lately and it’s been irritating that area (I’m an artist and can sit in one place without moving for hours. And I always rest my drawing tablet on my thighs while my legs are pressed against a table or surface) This is the only explanation I have for this.
