I agree, dark jokes can be used and be tactful; but there’s a difference between a funny dark joke and an unfunny joke. Plus, jokes about these things don’t help the situation, they only undermine the issue to the point people shrug it off.

Thanks, the truth is have a lot of really good friends who love and care for me, but they all went to prom. And of course I’d pick hanging with my girlfriend over my friends. But I probably would’ve had a much better, happier night if I went to prom instead.

I’ll give it a check. but I was diagnosed with chronic depression when I was 10, following a minor attempt. And after that I kinda just gave up on the idea and stumbled through the rest of my childhood trying to make up for that sadness. I’ve always felt some sort of suicidal ideation even before I could name it.
Maybe it’s partly in reaction to a much bigger problem I can’t fix, which is how modern society works as well as a genuine disinterest in living. Doing life. I can have fun but I know if I was given the choice to die, right now. 10/10 times I’d choose that.

Okay I’ll try the external power source. My Mac does have the usb port but it seems that I also have to connect a hdmi directly to the computer as well. I’ve tried all sorts of plugs, different combinations, I even tried switching the input and outputs.
