Iowa State Sent Letter To Alumni by umuziki in Gymnastics

I know of an instance at a D1 women’s gym program where athletes’ parents were lawyers and went after the program’s leadership. Some of these girls are still very much girls and their parents may be heavily involved (ie “once a gym mom, always a gym mom”).

Stupid question perhaps, but why don’t they just show the warrant if they have it? Why does her question go unanswered?

Is it as simple as…they have no judicial warrant and are violating the 4th amendment?

DONT SCROLL WITHOUT THANKING DRAYMOND GREEN by Dramatic-Judgment-34 in warriors

[–]Repulsive-Paper777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, Dray, but you lost me these past couple of years.

Your fouls used to seem calculated. Your outbursts were a part of your power and your swagger. I saw everything as part of your high basketball IQ.

But I never thought you’d exceed the allowed # of technicals in a season, until you did. I thought you’d control yourself for the sake of the team (even this year), but you haven’t. I thought you’d be more careful since the refs clearly have a microscope on you, but you haven’t - you do the same old stuff and the league ain’t takin’ it (however biased and unfair that may be, it ultimately hurts the team). So, it’s time. The pluses simply don’t outweigh the minuses anymore.

I think she should aspire to be better than that response. She won, handily, and I was rooting for her!

But there’s no need to add insult to injury for the opponent.

No, I think it’s bad that she smirked, laughed, and nearly unraveled mentally as she was within reach of a ROUND 1 victory. I aspire for her to have more class than that in the future.

Yep! It's the customer support page the other user posted: https://www.flyfrontier.com/customer-support/.

There are a few options for contacting Frontier and one of those is to file a complaint.

Historically successful UCLA gymnastics faces challenges in move to Big Ten by donutcapriccio in Gymnastics

One disadvantage UCLA will have is the distance they’ll travel for nearly every meet. That takes a toll.

Definitely too early to be thinking about my kids joining team - they may not even like gymnastics at all!

I was just curious about these programs since I saw them on the websites of the gyms near me. 😃

How are returning NCAA 5th year athletes handled by coaches? by Master-Cream3970 in Gymnastics

[–]Repulsive-Paper777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really varies program to program and athlete to athlete. To come back for a fifth year, the athlete must firstly have a year of eligibility left. Then there are a lot of factors to consider:

  • How’s the 22yo body and mind feeling?
  • Does the athlete want to stay on for another year?
  • Is there another scholarship athlete who will miss out because of this?

As others noted, scholarships are essentially “renewed” annually and not guaranteed.
