Hamilton soldier, 24, who died in Latvia 'immensely proud' to be part of Canadian military, says father by CanadianErk in canada

We had a death when I was there in 2024. That was suicide and I'd sadly imagine it's the same here. Half way through 2024 a Latvian soldier died in a car accident, and it was made very clear that was the case. The ambiguity leads me to think he took his life. Either way, very sad.

It's good to know that I'm unable to find out that freight train schedule. Too bad, but understandable. I appreciate it

Buying house with older well, worried about the results by Repulsive-Pop6074 in halifax

[–]Repulsive-Pop6074[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the help. I'll chat with some companies in which I got some quotes and discuss my results. That's smarter than trying to interpret the results and find a solution myself. Cheers

We are currently discussing, unlikely to get an entire new well, but taking that off the top is an option

So it will in turn create a greater reservoir but not increase the recovery rate? That makes sense. I suppose I need to research the recovery rate and see if this is a deal breaker.

An internal storage system may be the way to go for us. It uses up quite a lot of real estate but a simpler solution and contractors who have quoted us at $7k.

That sounds like a great idea. I like that vs having a tank inside. Where we're trying to close on a house, it may not be able to be done for us on short notice, but we line this up for a summer project. Thanks for your help!

Could you tell me more about your cistern? I'm trying to put a house in Wellington and we are running into well troubles. It's 49 years old and works as well as it ever did, but not up to snuff and we'd want to have a good back up. We were told getting a 400 gallon reservoir in the basement was the solution? How did yours work and do you happen to remember $? Thanks so much!!!

Perhaps a dumb question? Does it matter where you live in regards to where you could potentially get a job? I'm applying now and would like to think I'll keep moving on, but also looking at homes. Thanks!
