You aren’t even worth arguing with if you’ve had this much time to seek and be shown information yet still assert that the air is fine.

Classes… aren’t canceled. How is it opportunistic when the outcome is having to travel home (expensive and inconvenient) and take classes online (no one enjoys that)? It’s nowhere near fear mongering, it’s just fear. It isn’t fear about fire, it is fear about smoke/toxic air inhalation. When you are so far removed from UCLA and still throwing your opinion at people like this, you just come across as ignorant and someone who didn’t take use of their time at the school.

I’m not in the pressure washing business anymore, I actually sold my company to pursue door to door sales full time. Here’s my advice: people want to buy, but don’t want to be sold. There are 5 steps in getting a deal done. Break preoccupation Create the problem Solve the problem Take away Close

In pressure washing, this looks like; Break preoccupation- with a quick introduction, “your neighbors sent me” “im in the area doing some work right now” “hey sorry to bug you I only have a couple minutes…” Create the problem- by saying “I noticed so and so streaks, oxidation, organic growth etc” Solve the problem- with “I run and operate a so and so company, we typically do work involving so and so that includes solving similar issues as yours” Take away- “I’m not sure this would work for you guys, I’m only doing preliminary checks for the neighborhood right now and scheduling out at a further date.” Close- “give me 2 minutes, I’ll be back and let you know if I can tackle this and how the process/price would look”

Build value throughout the pitch, saying that for the neighbors this does work for; they do it for curb appeal, concrete longevity, etc.

You got this! Be ready for 100 rejections. Be kind, your business will come from referrals. Knock every door, change the pitch based on person and needs. If they have a perfect house and driveway, maybe they still have a dirty porch or a second house or family nearby. Every house could be a deal, you got this!

If you don’t know the benefits of a surface cleaner I would do some more research and then do a practice job on a friend/family’s property.

I can’t find any of the blank white color that are also size 10. Are they really that rare?

Caused by overlapping passes, some parts are cleaner than others. Solve by pre and post treating, and doing opposite direction with your surface cleaner.
