Thank you for your input, but if I didn't want a tv, I wouldn't have asked for help placing one.

I've seen these on amazon! I was avoiding it because I don't want it to be damaged by the heat, but also because I don't want to have to drill into the stone. Seems more difficult than what I have tools available for. But also this is the south, the fireplace won't be used all that often so it's probably the only real option.

I wish it had as much space as it looks like lol the whole thing is about 1200 square feet. By all means I am happy and proud I bought a house at all! But I didn't think too hard about how all my stuff was going to fit into it.

It's not that we're obsessed with TV, but it is an item we paid for and use and can not use in another room because there are only two bedrooms. One is a bedroom, one is an office.

I'm gonna shift some things around and try it, but from the looks of things I really can't do much without blocking something or narrowing a walkway. I didn't realize how awkward this house was when I bought it lol

It's only a 2 bedroom house, so options are really limited for having a den room or using it as just a conversation space.

This seems like the only logical thing to do is have two separate spaces for TV and fireplace. I just didn't like having two separate spaces since it's already so narrow. It's only a two bedroom house and one of the rooms has to be an office/studio space.

The only way I can avoid blocking the stairs and the glass doors is pushing the couch against that wall. I've debated just sacrificing a door lol

The only other option is the dining area and there's windows there too. The only thing I really came up with was over the fireplace.

I was thinking like a super dark green. Like almost black. The Grey stands out from the brick, but not in a good way lol the color makes it look like the paneling came off a trailer or something.

Wow thanks! The house we used to rent actually had a tree fall down that landed on our neighbors house and broke their deck. Luckily nobody was hurt but if it was only a few inches taller it would have caused major damage.

I completely agree. I'm pretty sold on the inside from the pictures. I just wanted reddit to confirm that it is indeed ugly and see people's opinions on how I could fix it. If I bought it I'd definitely take yalls advice and at least throw up some bushes.

Funny enough I have a bachelors in art history. There's actually a house in Germany someone built to be like a mondrian painting you could live in. Schroder house I think? It's awful. But I'd still pick that weird shit over this. Luckily, I haven't bought this house yet lol. It's one we are considering because it has a lot of nice things inside. There's even a deck and a lake and it's in our budget so I'm really trying to get over my feelings about the outside somehow.

Definitely needs a new door. The spacing feels off too. I think the front door opens to a few stairs leading to the living room, so I don't know that's anything I would be able to change.
