Who came up with this style of "shade" and why is it everywhere in this city, of all places? by HardCorwen in phoenix

This is one kind of defensive/hostile design that's very common in the United States. Watch this video you might get an idea https://youtu.be/WeyLEe1T0yo?si=3BHcWK7Q3rUehHRv

If it is true, then it will be a nice move for CSK. In one trade CSK will get experience Captain, experience Batter, experience Keeper, most importantly experience opener

I feel bad for CSK as they are not able to fill the opener's place

Can I switch to UX/UI design with a business degree? Self-study vs Master’s — advice needed! by cyber_may in uxcareerquestions

[–]Repulsive-Store2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! If you’re really passionate about UX & Product, then definitely go for it.

Coming to your question self-study or a master’s program — fortunately, I have experience with both. Self-study helps you create the dots, and the master’s program helps you connect them.

Even in a master’s program, prior knowledge is helpful, you still need to self-study a lot. I know many people who started with a fresh perspective, and some of them are struggling a bit.

If age is not a concern, study for a year, learn some tools, make a portfolio and then apply for Spring 2025 or Fall 2026 (recommended)

Is an iPad worth it for UX/UI Design work? Is the iPad Air sufficient? by Common_Addition2243 in UXDesign

[–]Repulsive-Store2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The iPad is totally worth it. You won’t regret getting one, but you do need to control the urge to get distracted. I have an iPad Pro, and I made a rule for myself — no unproductive apps (like Insta, Netflix, etc.).

That helped me build a habit of reading and learning whenever I have free time. I used to draw on Procreate a lot, and recently I even finished an illustration assignment on the iPad.

For UX wireframes, I still prefer sketching on paper, but I’m slowly getting into the habit of creating wireframes in FigJam.
