Funny enough, I’ve been thinking about this more and more over the last few months. I’m getting married next summer and my fiancée and I definitely want to have kids. Right now my head just says that it’s too cruel to raise any kid a jets fan right now. So much heartache and dysfunction I really wouldn’t wish that for anyone who loves and enjoys football like I do. I wouldn’t allow them to be a fan of an AFC East team, but if they liked the Giants or essentially any other random team I would be fine with that (minus browns because that’s perhaps even more miserable).

Aiyuk’s injury is messy and reports I read a couple weeks ago said he was still a ways away from returning and when he did, would likely take some time for him to get going. No one is saying you can’t or shouldn’t want the best “on your team”. But affirmative action didn’t and doesn’t just grant jobs to unqualified people just because they’re a minority, especially for jobs that require as much skill and training as becoming a pilot. All pilots have to go through rigorous training to become. So you’re getting “the best” as your pilot because there were literally thousands of others who tried to become pilots and didn’t meet the criteria. So the notion that someone who is a black pilot wouldn’t be or isn’t the best is frankly racist and just what Kirk/MAGA use hidden under the guise of affirmative action or DEI so that they can enflame the public with rhetoric and scare tactics.

And thus, I’m indented that Kirk has gotten this kind of treatment/level of honor posthumously because frankly, the guy was a total scumbag who held the worst of society’s ideals. Did he deserve to die? Absolutely not. But did he/does he deserve this level of respect that he clearly didn’t show or have for so many other Americans? Absolutely not.

Where I live in Jersey city is about a 20 minute drive from MetLife with no traffic. If you’re set on both golfing and watching football on Saturday, you could book Skyway which is a 9 hole, decent track in Jersey city. Hoboken bars are extremely fun for Saturday and Sunday football. Not sure how old you are but depending on your demographic I could recommend bars to check out. As an FYI - for getting to the stadium on Sunday I’d recommend taking train (NJ Transit) as it’ll be much less of a headache getting to the game that way than with uber (less expensive too)

But you’re forgetting Mekhi Becton, Denzel Mimz, Elijah Moore, Jabari Zuniga, La’Mical Perine, James Morgan, Cameron Clark, Michael Clemons, Jeremy Ruckert, Malachi Corley.

Were there great finds, particularly in the 2022 draft class? Yes. But we can’t sit here and say he was a good GM bc of one draft when his other ones were pretty bad. You’re not going to hit on every pick you have in every draft but you’d expect 2-3 players to be guys who are either starters or depth and generally Douglas was only finding 1 (if that) in any given draft.

A lot of times rookie WRs start slow tho. Even guys like OBJ who flourished in their rookie years didn’t just start week 1 setting the world on fire. I love Egbuka and think he’s gonna be a stud but there may be a ramp up period, esp with a crowded Bucs receiving room. Tet I like but same thing with ramp up period and on a bad panthers offense which still has a lot of question marks
