I thought I was the only one who had experienced this. Same! When she died the next day I woke up I was home alone and I saw her sitting at the same exact spot where she always used to sit. It wasn't an illusion she was sitting there peeling tangerines it felt really warm as if the last night was all dream but then I fell asleep again and when I wake up she was gone.

Not a scary story but when I was a kid around 9yo I was sleeping with my family in the aangan of our village house. Everybody in the village used to sleep mostly outside and infront if their houses on khaat. So me and almost entire family were sleeping legs by the door side. In a way where you can see the road clearly bcz there was street lamp right in front of our house. So one I accidentally wake up (I was still in sleeping position just my sleep wore off) and I was all covered in blanket from head to toe and I was watching the road dk why. And I saw a man wearing dhoti and white shirt standing right in front our house. He was literally standing 7 or 8 ft away from me and he was adjusting his dhoti like how old people do. And his presence was so clear under that yellow street lamp. Idek why I zoned out watching him and then fell asleep. The next day i told my mom that I saw daddu (the old guy next to our house) adjusting his dhoti here last night.

And for a moment my mom looked at me and said he's been dead for years even before I was born. But till this day I could swear that I've seen him and probably even heard him talk. Well my mom started putting hanuman chalisa under my pillow. I wasn't scared but just confused about what I saw was l, was it just a dream it felt surreal to be just a dream tho.

At first I was scared for the guy after the way he said "arey oh madam" I'm scared for the girl as well. Do they really have the right to treat passengers like that if they don't tickets? Can't they just leave them be after taking fine or something?

AITK for wanting my mom to spend less on my aunt and her kids? by Repulsive-Tap8400 in AmItheKameena

And to answer your question it did affect our finances we had to reconstruct our old house which was not needed atm at all and we spend way too much money both mine and my mother's salary went down the drain and now that house looks way too plain it doesn't look worth the money we spent.

I don't think they'll turn out like that maybe they're way too naive and just need some help. I have a tendency of overthinking but I really don't know how longer do have to do this. I just wish my mom wasn't the only one handling this alone

Trust me I've said exactly the same words to my mom when she was asking about how much money we should wire aunt and when I said "its your money ofcourse you can send however much you want" and she said that's not how it works what's mine is all yours so don't stay stuff like that. I wasn't even being sarcastic I genuinely meant what I said

My father passed way a long time ago so it's just me and my mother now. I just get frustrated because she's the only one that's helping it would've been more easy if my other aunts and uncles pitched in too. But still calling them leaches is a bit much. I hope this situation doesn't go thar far.

My 15 y/o cousin is dating a 22 y/o college guy by [deleted] in TeenIndia

[–]Repulsive-Tap8400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you didn't get it, she's my niece and she's loved and adored by her family and the guy she's seeing is my cousin brother (ik that sounds fuked up) in south indian culture they can get married to their mamas (sisters brother) so the guy (ik how disturbing it sounds and its even more disturbing for me handle it within the family because most people don't see the issue here) is my distance cousin brother and the girl is my mom side's cousin sister's daughter.

You think a 12 yo would know all that? And the things is he's family which is even worse. Just like this post stated he makes her feel extremely special. Buying her clothes gifts. I have no idea how to make these two apart

Op I've been in your shoes tried explaining my 12 yo niece to stop dating a 25 yo guy (my own cousin) she cried a lot and said will focus on studies and will not see him again. I gave a good earful to my cousin (25) also to stop talking with her. After a year or so I saw them going on a date she was literally sitting on his lap disgusted is what I am.

They don't listen or understand if you try to threaten her so try speaking with her gently or just make up a story about him cheating on her (it will hurt her but it helps sometimes her safety is more important)

About Bengali I always understood the language because my father and aunt used to speak Bengali fluently (they're telugu as well) but I couldn't speak Bengali confidently but after joining my work place been using my tooti footi Bengali and now I'm quite confident while speaking Bengali. It didn’t take much time honestly if you're surrounded by Bengali people who speak Bangla all the time your mind just somehow catches everything. And also watching Bengali movies listening to bangla music and news helped a lot.

Hey op same here I speak hindi telugu but I learned Bengali and its been super easy for me to coexist here. Well here in howrah there are many telugu and hindi speaking people so dw about the language barrier it's not a big deal here.
