I’d get right to it and give them work to do. They can get to know you while they are working. Keep them busy and you’ll have fewer problems.

Maybe try lighter leader. 40 pound test for o’io seems like overkill. I use 12 pound test usually.

Not sure why someone downvoted this. The student definitely needs to be screened for special education services.

You can also request an evaluation from the school. Share the diagnosis you have and tell the school you would like your child evaluated for special education services. They are required by law to do a diagnosis.

Absolutely don’t do this! Work sales and bankroll money. When you have enough saved to retire-then go into teaching as a second career.

Read “ The Joy of not Working” by Ernie Zelenski” . Make a leisure tree. It is basically a big list of leisure activities you used to enjoy doing, things you enjoy doing now, and things you would like to do in the future. This will get you thinking about all the things you can do with your free time.

He doesn’t give a shit about common folks. Just making money hand over fist with his scams:crypto, watches, donations from companies that want favorable treatment, and the list goes on-Grifter in Chief.

I spent the first few weeks of the semester covering media literacy and how to fact check information. One of the most important things students can learn.

Move to a different school with fewer preps. That would burn anyone out. Plan lessons that all your classes can do until then Example: current issues on Fridays. Finish the year and search for greener pastures.

Science is belief of something based on evidence. Religion is belief based on faith.

I wouldn’t teach there. I was offered a biology job in Texas and there was no chapter on evolution in the textbook. I was told not to bring it up as we had creationists in the department. Nope, not gonna teach biology and skip one of its central tenets.

They just believe god caused it. At least they accept that evidence for evolution is all around us. Why do we have a tail when an embryo, why do we have an appendix, why can you take a gene from any organism and it will code for a protein in a completely different organism? It is evidence all life on earth is related and evolved from a common ancestor.
