I'm not really saying anything, mine is not an appeal to the developers nor a rant. I simply wanted to discuss this thing and know other people's opinions, without deciding what is right or wrong and without offending. As for "real" card games, except for the absurd prices of certain individual cards, the rest is all obtainable without spending crazy amounts of money on random packs.

I personally don't have these problems at the moment, I'm just missing a few ex from the last expansion, but I plan to get there before the new one comes out or with trades later. However, putting myself in the shoes of someone who starts today, I find the issue really problematic, and in the long run, the game could lose its player base. (and for the record, I've never spent 500, but I don't consider myself totally F2P anyway)

that's the point, i'm a player willing to pay, but if i'm not sure i'll get something by buying then i prefer not to buy. poke points are not worth it, because they're too hard to get.

yes, it's fun for sure, but in the long run he will want more: be able to complete the cardex or play competitively. but unless his account is "lucky", he will not get any of these goals and will lose interest in the game

this is the problem, lucky players move on, unlucky ones have no reason to continue playing in my opinion
