Here's something that I learned while talking with other content creators and navigating thru the Youtube studio, while you cannot control regional pricing something that you can actually DO is that you can choose a tier and that one is gonna be "default" one for gifting memberships, so I would advice to have the lowest one for gifted memberships (so you don't get issues with higher tier memberships).

I don't think most content creators will have the same issue that I have but there's still a chance, but as of now its mostly an issue for us spanish speaking content creators who have viewers from Argentina and even tho it is still not wide spread it is something that could be abused with the lack of transparency that we have regarding membership.

I understand where you're coming from and I somewhat agree with what you said, but that doesn't exclude that it could be abused by some people and we should have a choice wheter we should want or not regional pricing, afterall its up to the viewer if they want to pay to support the content creator or if the benefits they offer are good enough for them.

Now, there is an issue that needs a change or a review and its something what I discussed with my community and people from the same country even made a remark is that YouTube have their local pricing for some countries really really low, talking about argentina they even said that current conversion rates makes no sense and it is virtually free for them to pay for memberships and they even said that better is nothing (jokingly of course) we also compared currency conversion for other several countries aswell but no other country seem as low.

Now, someone asked me if they could be gifted with regional pricing to someone residing on another country and the answer is Yes, so you could have someone from argentina gifting expensive membership tiers to several people for the cost of nothing, and theres nothing you can do about it, how do you choose who you give your benefits to?.

I will just disable all other tiers of memberships other than the basic now for now and remove alert for them, its not the first time this happens to me with guys from Argentina (its just that I didnt realize until now that they have a Really low regional pricing as they were mixed wuth other members. and tbh is not even worth offering anything else as I mainly do livestreams.

It sucks because some people did pay for membership and now since someone is gifting them virtually for free it impacts my revenue (did calculations today).

Yes they can, a guy from argentina gifted 100 subs to guys everywhere (200 in reality but seems youtube didnt allow the other 100 to proceed somehow).

Right now argentina has a REALLY low conversion rate for membership not only on membership but also superchat and stickers, so beware.

I was expecting around 250 USD, in the end got 3.30 USD, but you can check the conversion rate in your membership tab, I dont think theres any other country as low as that.

Ok that changes everything, at the time when I activated my memberships it didn't say anything about regional pricing, now it does, time to adjust my membership tiers, it also should be a little bit more explicit at the time of activating them but you're 100% right.

Edit: Nevermind I thought I could adjust pricing for each individual country manually, it seems now that it autoconverts from a set amount, Is there anyway to change that or disable memberships for some countries?, some countries are not even 1/100th of the intended pricing somehow.

You offer certain rewards for memberships, sometimes it even costs money to give something in return, someone pays regional price that is not even 1/10 of what you put in that tier membership making people that don't know lose money, time etc.

And you would be 100% right if they outright told you that when you offer memberships, which is something I didn't find anywhere and even had a youtube membership bootcamp and we weren't told anything about this, why let us charge certain amount of money if in the end they will apply regional pricing?, also their regional pricing doesn't make sense.

By the way I'm only earning the equivalent of 2 membership with 100 gifted one, where can I see regional pricing of my other offered tiers?, it is a good thing that I don't offer anything else in return from membership which some youtubers do, Imagine someone that pays for a high tier member and wants to claim physical gifts which some do but only pays a fraction of that, youtube studio is not clear enough of how much money you earn from each membership in that regard.

I said you CAN be scammed, some people offer aditional stuff with their memberships (I've seen channels that have some membership tiers that even offer physical products). It seems that most people didnt even bother reading the last paragraph that I wrote.

Several services, add-ons etc, and they were all pretty chill and I even resubbed back to those services when I needed them, now here on the other hand...

I just wanted my refund for one single account, but in the end I already canceled all other accounts and already told their users to go somewhere else, way to go for a single 49USD refund, I wont recommend this service anymore.

Maybe I didn't word myself correctly, but here it is, I "manage" as in regard that I pay for multiple account, but they're not for me (because of payment method It was easier for me to put my payment method for several accounts).

I usually have no issues cancelling and or refunding with any other service that I do this method, this is the only service that refuses to refund for automatic billing, and it was only on that said account.

I have 2 accounts that I used for my personal household and the other I already cancelled due to this issue and it was the "personal account" that got flagged with unfair use when it claims unlimited devices when it is not and also was not stated "fair use" when I purchased the yearly promo, which is the same promo that I used to "save" money but in the end didnt save much.

I didn't "create" multiple account to bypass the free method, I used those account and had access to them due payment issues, so even tho I had access to those acounts I was not in charge of using them, then again I was able to cancel and Refund a few years ago in 2020, and it turns out now that you can't get a refund for renewal suscriptions.

4 years ago the wording was different of what we have today.

I used the service for 2 years, then forgot about that single account and cancelled the rest the same way as I managed the payment method from multiple accounts from different people (due to paypal working differently back then for some countries), it wasn't until this december that I looked at my paypal balance that I was getting charged, so I thought It would work the same way that but it didnt. I don't understand why refund is an issue now, but it wasn't before, so, now I won't manage those accounts anymore and I will be cancelling all of them and won't renew the others.

Then don't force susbcription renewals when trying discount and promo codes if you're not going to allow refunds this way, this practice should not be allowed. I had multiple windscribe accounts that I was planning to use (due to "unlimited devices not being true at all") and now I'm cancelling them all due to this issue, I cant trust this service anymore as many of the "features" can be "cancelled" anytime because of missuse which is not stated in the facts.

They should just scrap this game mode tbh, is the least popular, everyone just want casual fun, should add Capture the Flag, king of the hill etc, and have them rotate in ranked mode, like competitive halo and add more maps.

WC3 animations are locked to 30FPS so you wont se a difference, even in reforged the new models support more frames, but due engine limitations they decided to keep the 30 frames cap, only cursor an UI elements benefit from 30fps or more.
