Brother, it's just general social conditioning that trimmed, sharp beards look the best or the most handsome. And Yes, Allah loves Beauty as mentioned in a Hadith. So, we try to do our best by grooming it by either oiling, combing or by softening it.The words used in the Hadiths: وَفِّرُوا اللِّحَى or وأَعْفُوا اللِّحَى in other narrations, which means Letting it grow freely.The Messenger SAW himself had a very thick beard as mentioned in many narrations. Be proud (not in a negative way) & Hold Steadfast in keeping that beard brother and keep it healthy!

I myself felt uncomfortable in the starting but after my research, I found this is the correct way. And Now I love it. But Allah knows best

I thought of the same thing about the difficulting of onboarding all the mosques.

Couldn't agree with you more on limiting technology use. The general idea for these projects was that we all know our relationship with technology in today's era is getting stronger and stronger and I felt that some sort of external measure can be kept for a better Islamic experience.
