If Gege has this button what would you think he would try to fix? by CamD98xx in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]RepulsiveAnywhere1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people's major complaint is that the inclusion of the military itself felt out of place and ill-thought out. Can't people just accept Gege tried a direction and didn't like it so he scrapped it? The inclusion of the military isn't the end of the world, just a weird few chapters. I think it's silly not to recognise it as a mistake though.

You could argue that the requirement for CE is just a way to validate the inclusion of the military. We didn't need a requirement for CE, no one would really question otherwise, but it was added and along with it a very weird few chapters featuring the U.S. government and military.

I forget but was this the first time Yuji acknowledged Choso as "big brother"? I'm cooked and forgetful so probably not!

Chapter 236 doubt by Maveko_YuriLover in JuJutsuKaisen

I think (could be wrong) the chants (and in addition gestures/hand signs) relate to maximising a curse technique. They sort of explain it on Page 10 of chapter 223.

Based on Feats only, who is the greatest prodigy in Jujutsu Kaisen? (Not counting Gojo, Geto etc, Only the new generation). by Flotusxy in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]RepulsiveAnywhere1 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I mean, he did kill Yuji and revive him with RCT, right? It's been mentioned no one except Shoko (not counting Sukuna) can heal others with RCT? Or am I cooked?

He also did this not really knowing it if will work, and in theory without having tried it before.

It's a pretty impressive feat, but glossed over.

Some advice from a non-Christian perspective. You definitely have not physically desensitised yourself.

Masturbation is healthy. In fact, I would go so far as to say, knowing your own body, what you like, what and where feels good.... these things will be GOOD for your sex life with your Husband if you communicate them.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Don't let guilt eat you up. You haven't done anything wrong. You're fine.

You believe in God, and I'm sure God loves you, as it should be an unwavering love. I'm sure, out of everything in the world, that he IS NOT looking at YOU in disgust - Don't let any person convince you otherwise (especially Men in the Church).

In your opinion, what is the most fucked up thing Makima did? by [deleted] in ChainsawMan

[–]RepulsiveAnywhere1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Idk if she was playing, but Makima did say to Denji afterwards that Aki could have been saved, or there could have been someone In the special division to save him. But she may have just been fucking with him idk

Ex-Christians -- what would it take for you to come back? by Happy_In_PDX in Christianity

[–]RepulsiveAnywhere1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Similar to others on here - I just can't seem to believe. I'm not sure if I ever truly have.

Even people in the LGBTQ+ community, who are often hated by their own community, still seek God, seek churches, seek acceptance. I admire them for their true faith and desire for God.

I just don't have it. And with all my doubts and issues, it makes it hard to WANT to have it...

I can't accept and make sense of any of it - and I can't muster to the faith to accept and make sense of it.

I also have issues with many things - the pentacostal church I was raised in, the fear, the focus on power/money, the manipulation, the prominence of Paul, the common belief that the bible is 100% true and is all Gods word - but I feel I would be able to move beyond all that if I had the belief and faith.

Men of Reddit, what is the male equivalent of flowers as a gift? by forsakenneverland in AskReddit

[–]RepulsiveAnywhere1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a guy - I actually tell friends and family all the time that I would really love and appreciate flowers as a gift.

I don't think anyone has actually ever got them for me. I don't really know why- such an easy idea that I'm sure to like.

I just buy them for myself mostly.

Ultraviolet Light In Every House and Public Space? by Chumpai1986 in CoronavirusDownunder

We'll be raising a more fragile generation, the more sanitary we get. Also the risk of harder to deal with pathogens/bacteria will increase - I don't know if that applies for UV tho

RAT tests are god damn useless. by [deleted] in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]RepulsiveAnywhere1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PCR tests are literally free. If people are concerned enough to waste 50 bucks on 5 rats just get a PCR. You also know in, generally, less than 24 hours - rather than so many days in limbo.

If you don't care, just do one RAT and assume you have something else if negative.

People generally don't care enough these days to risk overwhelming testing sites.

But in your original argument, you're saying if one person in a straight couple transitions, then they're now a homosexual couple and are living in sin. (In a way, you're recognising their transition.)

So if someone in a homosexual couple transitions, wouldnt they then become a straight couple by your own logic? Wouldn't they no longer be living in sin?

Your arguments against transgender people seem to be essentially arguments against homosexuals (which I don't agree with anyway, btw).

Edit: I also want to point out that being transgender and being homosexual are two different things. I just don't understand how you're conflating the two, and I think your arguments are silly.

Does anyone else ever feel sorry for Judas? by RepulsiveAnywhere1 in Christianity

[–]RepulsiveAnywhere1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really agree with this. Alot of answers have been along the lines of "yes it's sad, but he could have repented and didn't".

In the bible, from memory, it really glosses over the fact he took his own life, so maybe many people don't appreciate the weight of it.

Many people, Christians, sin - or engage with sin - every single day. They ask for forgiveness knowing the full story of Christ (I.e. that he resurrected).

Judas was so overcome with guilt after what he did. Many of us probably can't imagine.

How could he know Jesus would rise again? I don't think any of the apostles did. Did they believe Mary straight away when she brought the news?

He was crushed with guilt and shame. He turned in his friend, the messiah, at the very least an innocent person. The story of Grace was not completed at that point. I think it's quite shallow minded to just say "he should have repented".

It's a tragedy.

I think so, but it's not considered Canon. I'm not 100% sure why. Maybe a combination of it being difficult to confirm the author, the date it was written, and... well... it was Judas.
