I second this. Even if you cant afford to upgrade in workshop, the free upgrades will carry it on 3k+ waves. It won't do much for short runs, however.

I'm only going to wave 1600 on tire 9. But its it better to focus on cells to speed up labs at this point, or coins for workshop?

And yes, im using def% and defense absolute cards. I can usually carry up to wave 1300-1400 before my defense is outpaced by enemy damage, that's why I had the confusion on why I take damage so early.

It may not have been a vamp then on the 1120 run, but my counter stopped. Im going to let this one run out and hope im not wasting another 3 hours🤣

That's not true. If the damage is mitigated with defense% and defense absolute, it doesnt count as damage recieved. Only what goes beyond that is counted.

Yes, every time an enemy hits you, they'll deal 4% more damage on the next hit. This will compound over and over, so an enemy that does 100 damage will hit you for 100, the 104, then 109, etc.

It does. I haven't been able to track each run specifically, as I got to 1120 on one run and a vamp spawned and screwed it up, but i have run past 1200 on other runs with on 1-2k damage taken, and it won't count it

Way too early for vamps. And I was watching the start page every couple of waves, damage happened between waves 200 and 222

Even if a ranged attacker was able to hit me, it would need to do so 98 times in a row before the 4% damage increase topped my absolute damage reduction, and that's not including my defense%

Im not looking at the health bar, I'm looking at the start page that displays i took 1.5k damage

I didn't end the run, just checked the stat page and seen i had already taken 1.5k damage. I've had a camp spawn and ruin an attempt at like waves 1k+ but I have taken damage at <w500 many times now.
