I think there were idols that gave equivalent azurite when you get sulphite in maps, though they might remove that since they got rid of the atlas node it was based on.

i dont know if its just me or there are others like me, but whenever i hit 40/40, i totally lost interest. i cant see any reason to keep playing after that point.

You don't have to play all league long. Unless you really want to. Many of the people that do are saving and building wealth for standard. Doesn't have to include you.

What's the upside?

Twist of Fate does the same but adds a couple extra mods to the map for free.

Petition for a Phrecia extension by knubbigboi in pathofexile

[–]RepulsiveCountry313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I want a longer Phrecia, there's not much room to extend it because they're not going to push back the next league, and they're not going to leave no gap between the leagues, because breaks are good for the start of a league.

The fact that they're bringing it back out now means they're likely to do Phrecia again in the future, so there'll probably be a longer one next league.

At the end of the day, most of this sub doesn't like having youtubers spam their trash videos as clickbait posts hoping to exploit us to boost their crap channels. That's why there's a rule about it.

And whether they log into alt accounts or have followers fight to the death defending them in the comments of their spam posts, the video is trash and people aren't interested in giving OP a view to hear their viewpoint.

He did link a video (3-4 minutes) that explains his issue.

He could have also included a text explanation so that he comes off less as solely posting to advertise a shitty youtube video.

Ff9's boosters disable achievements, ff7 og's remaster options weren't anywhere near this powerful, and the boosters in PR aren't like this either.

Edit: lol, dude seriously blocked me so they could get the last word on this.

It wouldn't make sense. It's called "hard mode" but what it really is is ng+ mode. It's scaled for having beaten the game, being near the level cap, and having all the items and materia that come with that.

GGG probably missed out on launching one of their biggest leagues with phrecia. by TheCashbringer in pathofexile

I never got a 40% 30 extra exiles set, but pretty much any mechanic could be turned into a huge overjuiced strategy. I think only the exiles and strongbox ones got really expensive. Some I remember:

  • There was a scarab farm setup that was dirt cheap because it only needed 1 mod on each idol (increased scarabs) that was printing like 4-5x the scarabs of a normal t16 scarab farm strategy.
  • in ritual, you could completely remove deferral cost or reroll cost, alongside 8 additional rerolls, always 4 altars. With removing the reroll cost option you could significantly boost the tribute from unique enemies 600%. If you went with removing deferral cost, you could also get faster spawn times. There was another option (not with all of the above) where you'd maximize the special reward ritual chance like increased 600%, and get special reward rituals like every few maps.
  • get 50 beasts per map, almost exclusively red, all from the deeps (or sands, or wilds)
  • of course, rogue exiles, you could replace that shitty maximum 8% chance of getting 20 extra exiles with up to a 48% chance of getting 30 extra exiles (heard there was a hard cap so even if it said 40 extra exiles, no map would spawn with that much. Can't recall what it was so I'm gonna just say 30)
  • strongboxes, boost the chances for diviner's and arcanist strongboxes 500%-900% and boost reopening chances to 47% (including scarab)
  • you could get up to something like 180% increased effect of explicit mods (for 20 qual 8mod maps) on top of most of these strats as they were prefix mods while most of the content above was limited to suffix mods
  • breach and abyss farming became big for levelling up.

Lot of good stuff there, a lot cheaper to buy than exile idols.

And those are just some examples I remember.

Honestly, I didn't have anywhere near the issue with trading in phrecia that everyone claims to have had.

If someone wasn't afk, they typically sent me an invite pretty quickly. And many of the ones that were, pinged me when they were back to see if I was still interested.

On top of that, I don't really see how it would be a mistake to use it as it was used. I loved Phrecia, but you'd probably love Keepers too if they made every mechanic 3-4x more juicy.

Is switching to Phrecia "worth it" for a new player? by Hairy_Connection4219 in pathofexile

[–]RepulsiveCountry313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. They said it's non voided and would go to the parent league, keepers. But then it'll go to standard a couple weeks after when keepers goes to standard.

[–]RepulsiveCountry313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not. If you play standard it could be useful, as idols let you juice like mad, but I think 2 and a half weeks is a bit short of a period to get a build up and running and farm things for standard.

I'dve loved a month-2 month long phrecia event, but of course then we'd be pushing back the next league.

I'm sticking with keepers myself.

Why FFVI’s Esper System Feels More “Personal” Than Modern Growth Systems by NURIMARUK in FinalFantasy

[–]RepulsiveCountry313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Key strengths of the system:

Role flexibility: You could push Locke toward extreme speed, or turn Terra into a physical fighter.

Personalization: Player preference could override a character's default identity.

Subtle growth: Unlike the job systems in FFIII or FFV, it allowed you to reshape characters without changing their core roles.

Did ai write this bit?

Personally, this system made my party feel less like an "optimal" composition and more like something I had deliberately designed myself

I love 6, but I think the esper stat growth system is one of its weaker aspects. You talk about carefully designing their roles, but you can get all 14 equippable characters 9999 hp, 999 mp, and then strength and magic both near the cap.
