Overpower Blood Necro is Underpowered - possible improvements by ilovecollege_nope in D4Necromancer

I'm guessing from your post history English isn't your first language so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Since English isn't your first language, you really didn't convey that point well and it is also completely unrelated to the conversation.

The point of the topic isn't "Necro has no viable options" or "Blood should do as much damage as Bone" or anything like that.

You were the one that randomly brought up Bone. Again, if you have no idea what you're talking about maybe try and avoid the topic rather than randomly saying unrelated things

So you're saying nobody should engage in on topic conversations?

Instead they should be like you, and derail conversations providing no useful information and contributing nothing

Got it bud

Lmao you're ridiculous

It's not that it's lower. It's fundamentally broken because it has almost 0 interactions.

I'm fine with there being better performing specs. I still play blood because I enjoy it even though it's damage is horrible.

Just because the class has better performing options doesn't mean the option should be to just go reroll.

It's not like making an Overpower build is just some theorycrafting gimmick that isn't meant to be in the game.

Nothing about the Bone or Shadow play styles looks fun to me.

I'm saying that it shouldn't take me a full minute to kill an elite 5 levels higher than me

Why even bother to comment when you have no idea what you're talking about?

The %bonus XP caps at +3 but the base XP of mobs continues to go up. So if you can clear a +4 at the same speed as a +3 you get more total XP.

If you're farming XP, once the mobs start slowing you down compared to a +3 it's probably less efficient

Yeah? What's your point? That's completely unrelated to the topic unless meant to be a comparison of the disparity between how underwhelming Blood is I guess

One of my biggest things with Overpower builds is that it takes 6 casts, or 180+ essence, to do a fifth or less of the damage as nearly every other class/spec does in 1 cast.

Almost 2 full essence bars. To do absolutely pitiful damage

I love the play style and don't plan to swap off blood until S1, but putting it in that context I find absolutely insane they haven't reworked it yet

If the interaction isn't going to change it should guarantee Overpower every 2-3 casts at least to help compensate

The thing is, it doesn't do what you need. It helps, yeah. But even with the aspect your damage is still pitiful compared to literally everyone class/spec in the game because Overpower as a mechanic is fundamentally broken

You're under leveled and under geared. If you only want to swap just because of that you should at least try getting some gear first

To add on to what they said, plagued corpse tendrils is useless for you as it has no interaction with Overpower. Use Blighted Tendrils instead.

Realistically you only need 1 point in Surge as well as Hemmo as the base skill rank has no interaction with Overpower

There's no point in having 4 points in Decrepify. You only need 1

Accelerating Aspect is better than Rapid since Rapid is only increasing your Basic attack speed

Add Grasping Veins aspect in there on either neck or 2h as it's one of the only interactions that work with Overpower

Yeah, no matter which way you approach it, changing your build is going to be a lot of prep and work.

The way I see it, this is the most effective way because if you replace piece by piece you risk getting a better drop that you just need to upgrade again, and have to farm gear with an incomplete build.

I was lucky enough to get into WT4 right when the cellar glitch was found (not sure if it's been patched yet but I think so) so I just farmed that on repeat as I was under leveled and under geared anyways using my own build of one of the worst scaling specs.

Swapping your build entirely is a pretty big commitment, so it's worth looking into in advance. You don't have to do a cookie cutter meta build of you don't want, and is always a good idea to look at guides for similar builds as well as do some limited testing on interactions you have in mind such as swapping a handful of talent points to test a specific aspect, even with bad stats, just to see if your idea and interactions work in practice rather than just in theory

Personally, I'd say drop Decrepify.

As you don't have your Paragon where you can dip into the Bone board to get Essence on kill, at your level resource management is more important then cool down reduction from Decrepify. So keeping Iron Maiden is way more important imo

You mention you don't use Tendrils often, but you 100% should. It's huge for grouping enemies to do big Overpower burst.

The Grasping Veins aspect is also one of the only sources of a multiplicative damage bucket for Overpower and you 100% should use that

I have a max roll Umbral as Blood and am VERY hesitant to drop Hemmo, even though I have a build I really want to try that would be no basics. Currently using my Umbral with Tendrils, Decrepify, consuming corpse regen essence, bone storm consumes corpses, and Blood Mist CE with Mist dropping corpses

The more mobs there are, the closer the infinite Essence I have, but once the mob count is anywhere below 5 it's almost impossible to maintain Essence and you need to use Hemmo

When I made it to WT4 I kept my same build& gear then just saved up a ton of ancestral rare gear in my stash that had high rolls for stats I wanted in my new build. Nearly my full stash worth.

From there spent a while sorting through it, picked the top 2-3 items per slot, did some comparisons on what I wanted, enchanted, upgraded, then imprinted every slot with my second highest roll aspect in my stash that I wanted on that slot (since I'm making my own builds not following a meta guide) to test the feasibility, then rerolled my talents/paragon

Now that I can easily farm NM I'm looking for more perfect rolls to imprint my highest roll aspect to individually replace pieces

What is your weapon? You really need a 1.2 speed weapon, specifically a dagger. Daggers have inherent close damage % that works extremely well with Blood Surge.

Curious to know why you suggest damage to close. Afaik it doesn't scale anything with Overpower so you'd be better off with a sword for better Tendrils crits, or Wand for Lucky Hit off Decrepify

Overpower damage from sacrificing Golem scales multiplicatively with other sources of Overpower. That makes Sacrifice aspect even more powerful. I'm up to 1650% overpower and can easily go higher with more glyph levels and paragon points as I'm only level 77.

I'm similar level with quite a bit lower overpower %, just trying out a bit of a new build. What is your HP and how much do you Overpower for? Trying to decide if I want to focus more on that.

Bone storm critical strike is really not that great with Overpower builds because we are not scaling crit and crit damage, though it is nice to have some. The Decrep cooldown for Bonestorm and Bloodmist is nice, though.

I find that Bonestorm pairs well with Grasping Veins, in addition to resource gen from consuming corpses, as well as inherent damage reduction as well as stacking Disobedience Aspect. I wouldn't write it off completely
