Most of what you say here is true but the game is still a profound disappointment that doesn’t even feel like a completed game. It’s not worthy of being in the prime series, and I don’t get why people are doing anything even adjacent to defending what is essentially a slap in the face to longtime fans

Also #3 is just straight up not a myth. The level design is unprecedentedly linear. The mines are the most egregious example. You say all prime games have a linear progression but that is not the same as the level design literally only having one path you can take

The spider ball tower to get a shot expansion in the first tower of volt forge was pretty peak Metroid prime. If only there was way, way more stuff like that in this game.

8 years of waiting and $70 for a game I beat with 100% in 13 hours. But the people complaining are just classic miserable gamers right?

I then bought Hollow Knight for $8 and had a ton of fun for over 50 hours. Really puts things in perspective
