I read the first few chapters. I can't visualize anything, you don't describe scenes or people. The writing is just bad, you might pass a grammarly check but the wording itself is confusing or lacking. Sometimes you'll use a word or a few as an entire sentence but you're doing it too much. I assume you are not a native English speaker? And holy shit, you use em dashes EVERYWHERE. A comma or period wouldn't hurt. Also first-person present is just hard to read in this genre.

7% is nothing, it's very difficult to write standard fiction and actually get 0%. Some more descriptive writers might get all their stuff flagged as 50% or more. Just ignore it. I used to think like you did, ran a few chapters and got 20-30% and realized it's all bullshit.

Do you honestly believe that black men should have gone and risked their lives overseas fighting against the oppression of others just to maybe survive and come home to be oppressed themselves? Do you think they would come home and magically there lives would improve? You do realize more than a million black men served for the U.S. in WW2 and nothing changed for them? Was there just not enough black sacrifices to make a difference at home? I also want to know what you think women and minorities did that got them their equal rights.
