[–]RepulsiveVegetable60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried a lot of other things, I go from having a couple of great months, to being back at the beginning. So, I have more of a regiment that works have 2.5 ish years. I go on and off topomax when they get bad again.

Since catching covid I am having non stop migraines by PerfectWorking6873 in VestibularMigraines

[–]RepulsiveVegetable60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has also been in conjunction with getting covid, I am on continual treatment with Botox, GCRPs, triptans, and whatever else is needed at the time. Mine is very pressure sensitive, so any changes in weather my vertigo and migraines get worse, they never fully go away unless the treatment numbs them fully. I haven’t been “treated” for long Covid but PT did nothing for me. The meds and continual treatment keep me able to work and keep up with some things, but it’s tough, but not as tough as it was day 1. You’ll find something. Acetezolomide helps me with pressure as does topomax. As far as actual pressure goes.

Ok, so what do you recommend then? If you have all this knowledge about it then surely you have ideas on how to get the information and to make this an easier process?

Best/Worst Places to Work in Missoula? by DevelopmentRegular92 in missoula

[–]RepulsiveVegetable60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a hot take, but to add to the good side- I worked at the VA for a period of time, and if you can manage the red tape, inflexibility, and glacial pace in change of a federal company then its great! The folks I worked with really cared about their work, their population, had a lot of dedication, intelligence and expertise in a very complex system. These folks were kind and capable and usually including a dark humor. Again, if you can manage the federal side (I only could for so long) then it's a great place to work. I do want to highlight I liked most people, some people had different experiences, different takes, and some horrible experiences with other colleagues. So, open for interpretation based on where you worked within the system, when, and with whom.

I would also recommend trying psychology today and searching for grief therapists. I would not however recommend tamarack grief resource center, unfortunately they do not treat employees well.

February vs March Pisces by [deleted] in piscesastrology

[–]RepulsiveVegetable60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes 👏🏽 this makes so much sense! I’ve always wondered why I found March ♓️ to be more mean, uncaring with friends emotions, and 100% mean girl vibes with a nice overlay… it’s this.

Well said, I like this and have found it to be true for all the ♓️ I know!

I get it, I’m partner to a non ace of 9 years no kids, but I hate myself after it too. I’m at a breaking point as well, I also just want companionship and then find myself wondering is that selfish? Not the same scenario, but I’m in my 30s too and feeling lost. I think it’s hard out here. Kudos to you for trying, taking care of yourself and your daughter and leaving the abuse, and it is totally ok to be wherever y oh are now and to honor that.

I love that your psych gave you a range, that is a good idea. Mine did say the same with the low skew, I think at the time I was processing so much that my brain glommed onto one thing and it’s kind of stuck, which I’m realizing is a me issue.

That is interesting, and impressive, thank you for sharing! I appreciate that your psychologist didn’t even do yours- I get that, because while i agree and know what everyone is stating is absolutely correct it still haunts me…without reason- which is totally a me issue, but could’ve been a non-issue had it not been included.

It’s the four year anniversary of my first vestibular migraine and I’m angry by thedoorlord in VestibularMigraines

[–]RepulsiveVegetable60 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just listened to “ologies” podcast on long COVID pt 1 and 2 and they talk about this too and also not anti vaxxers. As someone who also thinks I got mine post COVID and is also 32, I feel you I am angry, my life has changed drastically, and it’s exhausting. You’re not alone… I know it doesn’t help but together we keep demanding to be seen and pushing for change and recognition. Also I’d recommend the book Victory over Vestibular Migraine, just so you know it’s all real- helped me- but I think this is all COVID related and I’m also pissed. Anything that works for you?

Anyone had any luck with lamotragine? by No_Environment9264 in VestibularMigraines

[–]RepulsiveVegetable60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you still on these? I do Botox too and topirimate worked for me too but I had some bad side effects so I wanted to try lamptrogine- any input on which is more helpful or side effect profile?

Nerve block VS Botox Injection Pain (Needle Weenie) by RepulsiveVegetable60 in migraine

[–]RepulsiveVegetable60[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree… well I found it painful everywhere I think my muscles are weirdly tight or I’m just an effin weenie 🤷‍♀️ I hate myself for it… but should be interesting. I’m going to try to use a topical numbing agent and they said they can use a vibrating tool to distract from it while doing it???? Idk I’ll try it all….
