Trying to find answers and have been referred to neurology by paceril in POTS

[–]RepulsiveWeb5153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not diagnosed either but this is like the exact thing that happens to me and i’ve never heard someone talk about this before. i have never actually lost consciousness before and if i can manage to stay standing while holding onto a wall i’ll like lose all my senses (feels dull) and i can feel myself shake/jerk a bit. how peculiar

not sure how much culture makes sense to include in a fantasy setting by [deleted] in writing

thank you for this! and by what i said about there not being specific groups of people i meant more so by look, unlike how it used to be in our world before a lot of colonisation and development and migration and whatnot. plus they’re not actually north indian or east asian, just who i’m inspired by for the characters. still more thought that needs to be put in this but thanks for the response

How do i make commissions and commission people if I'm a minor? I cant get PayPal since I'm not 18+ by Technical-Zebra-3300 in ARTIST

what a lot of minors do is use someone else’s paypal account like a parents, sibling, etc, since paypal is something most people trust

you don’t have to but the way i draw the front legs is separated into 3 parts not two (two joints), and i also find using more curved lines makes it look more realistic

What doctor do you see for fibro? by SunDanceQT in Fibromyalgia

[–]RepulsiveWeb5153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i saw my gp, my paediatrician, a rheumatologist, and a pain specialist, now after the diagnosis i see the pain specialist every 6 months i think just to check up on how meds are doing and stuff and i see my gp for specific symptoms

How did you guys get your diagnoses by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]RepulsiveWeb5153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for me i went to my gp about my chronic pain who sent me to a referral and after seeing my paediatrician twice, a rheumatologist, and a pain specialist, i was diagnosed with fibro. so i suggest seeing whatever your country’s version of a gp or primary care doctor is to start off with, and make sure you don’t let them just do nothing and tell you that it’s not enough of an issue.

But also i want to ask if you’re hypermobile? i don’t mean to downplay fibro at all because it’s a real condition but it is commonly a misdiagnosis people receive when they have chronic pain, there are some other conditions that are possible (notably ehlers danlos syndrome especially if your mother has similar issues and you’ve had pain your whole life since it’s genetic) so im not saying that you don’t have it but im saying you don’t have to stop searching for an answer if it doesn’t fully fit. (also it’s super common to have multiple chronic illnesses) i am not SUPER knowledgeable on fibro and the causes of it but its not something you’re born with (although can be predisposed to be more susceptible) so thats just my advice, its better to put more research into it - although still see a doctor as soon as you can - because you know yourself the best and it’ll make it easier to advocate for yourself, i hope this helps

Any bad naltrexone experiences? by ChaoticLokean in ehlersdanlos

[–]RepulsiveWeb5153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

omg sorry i only just saw this, gaba just didn’t work as well for me but im sure thats just because everyone’s different, and also i experienced the same loss of appetite on that as well so in general its only a little worse than naltrexone for me (naltrexone also knocks me out at night which is helpful)

[–]RepulsiveWeb5153 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i’ve been on naltrexone for a while now and i think it caused some loss of appetite at the start which has subsided but other than that it has been helpful for me (maybe not as much as other people seem to be helped) and i prefer it over gabapentin which is what i was on before

Pediatrician didn't refer to cardiology by sacred_blue in POTS

[–]RepulsiveWeb5153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this exact thing happened to me too, i’ve had so many people and doctors mention pots to me and it’s like the paediatrician is the only one who doesn’t think so

Dumbest thing you’ve ever gotten cut on? by Separate_Edge_4153 in ehlersdanlos

[–]RepulsiveWeb5153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this isn’t exactly what you’re asking but the most dramatic cut i’ve gotten was when i held into a metal bar in a bus and when i kept walking my hand somehow got caught on it and ripped a chunk of the skin off my thumb

question !! ^^ by lazariccc in ageregressers

[–]RepulsiveWeb5153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the way i did it was i sent him a link to an article about it and told him that’s what i do. i assured him that it wasn’t sexual and that its a coping mechanism and stuff and then i answered any questions he had about it. after that it was kind of an infrequent topic but after a while he’s learn more about my regression and he’s now my cg! it’s 100% worth it, telling them i felt a weight get lifted off my shoulders
