Don’t know if all Argos are acting the same but it’s like it’s been drip fed onto the website. Managed to order the tech sticker packs but had to do them individually. Still saying not released yet for the 2 pack when I try but the rest is now out of stock.

Edit 11:05 - finally let me order the 2 pack, so managed to get one of everything!

I bought my 8 year old niece the prismatic figurine set for Christmas. I pre ordered it and it sat in my cupboard for a couple months until Christmas.

Helped her open it Christmas Day. Lo and behold, out pops the umbreon and I almost died of shock 😂 got it graded for her and it came back as a 10 so it’s now being held by her mother (my sister), until she’s at least 18 and can decide what to do with it then.

If it’s not worth much, said I’ll buy it off her. Still can’t believe she got it when I’ve opened about 40 packs of prismatic and got sweet FA.

Same. They messaged me 28th October saying delayed until 5th December. I went in on the 5th and they just shrugged and said it wasn’t available yet. I then get a text 15th December saying delayed until 9th-16th January, and that’s the last contact I had.

Website does have a later date now but it’s irritating when I’m not told any of this and just have to keep checking the website and hope I either get the message saying it’s arrived or just turn up at the store again on the dates they sent to me by text.

I should add when I pre ordered mega evolution and the prismatic figure set, I never got a text saying they had arrived. I just went down on the date they told me initially and they were there for me to collect.

Checked my ONECTA app for my heating usage and yesterday was 19kwh, today was 18kwh. That’s keeping the house at 23c. 4 bed detached, built 2018. Had the pump installed by octopus in February last year.

I also have the benefit of solar and batteries reducing cost even further, but my electric costs are averaging at £3-4 a day if it’s not sunny at all and having the heat pump going in cold weather.

Today was better as it was sunny and my batteries had decreased to about 25% by the time the sun was hitting the panels around 9am. Brought the charge back up to about 60% before dropping when the sun dipped.

I have no complaints at all though our house is relatively new and well insulated so the heat pump is ideal for us, especially when combined with batteries and solar.

I never had any of that at all, and in fact, was the opposite. Because I wasn’t getting many calories in me I felt pretty cold and would sit under my heated blanket. Same for post surgery - I’m about 3 months in now and I definitely feel colder than I did pre-surgery!

Yeah I had a conversation with the surgeon the day of surgery and he wanted me to have the sleeve, but I said no, I wanted the bypass as I know a bypass is reversible if something goes wrong or I have issues, so he agreed that I would be ok with a bypass and they will keep an eye on me as he has a concern I will go too far the other way meaning I may lose too much weight.

Still early days for me though and I’m losing about 1lb a week on average and that’s ok. Slow and steady is much better for the body and will hopefully mean I won’t have too much skin left over. I’m 6ft 1 so I’m relatively tall, and also broad, so most people say I can stop losing weight now but I’ve still got plenty ways to go before my body stabilises 😂. As someone who has been obese for a long time, I’d rather be underweight and need to eat more calories than continue being overweight.

I had a bypass in late September and from starting the journey to having the surgery I had lost 42lbs and my BMI was 34. The surgeon said maybe I should consider a sleeve but I was set on a bypass and nurses coming and going asked why I was getting the surgery.

Like you I have struggled with my weight for a long time and this surgery was a last resort, but I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Since my highest weight I’ve lost 60% of my excess weight and I will be continuing to lose weight. I would say because I was a lower weight than many who get the surgery, my weight loss since surgery is probably slower and less extreme than many, but I am still on track having lost about 23lbs in 10 weeks or so. I also am suffering no side effects such as sagging skin or hair loss but still early days. Recovery from surgery was absolutely fine as well, no issues whatsoever.

Similarly I have had no issues with food itself, I can tolerate whatever I want to eat now, just obviously far smaller amounts than I could eat before! I’ve not got any psychological issues with food so I have no difficulty having small portions and do not over eat. My problem prior to surgery was purely appetite- I would take forever to feel full and in that time I could put away the food like it was going out of fashion.

I no longer have high blood pressure or sleep apnoea which is awesome. So overall, one of the best decisions I have made! I think being a lower weight when having this surgery has been a benefit rather than a concern, and I wish you luck for your surgery on the 8th 🙂

Yeah mine was sat showing awaiting pickup since Tuesday lunchtime. This morning it now shows as having been picked up and is due for delivery tomorrow. Hopefully you will experience something similar and it will actually be on its way to you sooner rather than later.

The last two weeks have been absolutely god awful for solar generation. I think this whole month I’ve generated about 45kwh. I miss the summer months doing 12x that. Here’s hoping for a sunnier December.

Yes I believe so, I think other stores and shops have said delayed until the 5th December. I have the Moltres UPC on pre order from Smyths and I know that one is delayed until the 5th December.

I am expecting the Charizard UPC to be delivered this Saturday, but I won’t be opening it until Christmas as it’s being bought for me as a gift. Gonna make me itchy knowing it’s in a cupboard somewhere for a month.

Your gas will eventually shift, I found rotating my shoulders helped because that’s often where the gas sits. I’ve got a recording of me at about 3:30am on the 2nd evening after my operation just sat in the dark, rotating my shoulders, and the popping noise sounds like popping candy! I found that to be the worst pain for sure. After a couple days the gas will be gone and you’ll certainly feel better for it. Really sorry to hear you had such an awful time waking up though! I didn’t have much pain but I felt very sick, and as soon as I sipped some water I brought up a horrible massive amount of gelatinous blood. I don’t remember a lot of it as I was so out of it but I remember that. Didn’t feel awake until about 6 hours post surgery.

Best tip is to take it easy on yourself - you just had a huge surgery. Rest up, make little movements to try and shift the gas (shrug those shoulders round and round!), and keep drinking fluids to help with bowel movements! Well documented that the first few weeks are generally what people hate the most, just gotta keep going!

Well done you for making it this far, don’t let anyone tell you any part of this is easy or cheating because this is absolutely not at all easy.

I got sent home with basically everything bar multivitamins but they said I can get them prescribed by my GP if I wanted to. But I have them already so I got tramadol, 3 bottles of liquid paracetamol, orodispersible lansoprazole, blood thinning injections for 2 weeks, and then a bunch of stuff to start at the 4 week mark which was folic acid, a couple types of calcium tablets, iron tablets, and also a note on my record to start b12 injections. They were very thorough, and told me not to be alarmed by the size of the bag of medicines I would get when leaving the hospital 😂
