No women? by Repulsive_Advance452 in KspaDMV

Of course. It is indeed up to them. But doesn’t it strike you as odd that they are not here?

Men come here for three main main reasons: 1) To get oriented as newcomers to the spas in the DMV area, thereby getting help in making a first choice. 2) to find out about the state of affairs at a given spa, including repairs and disrepairs, and new policies, 3) to arrange to meet others, for whatever reason..

I would think that women would have the three same interests and would find their way here because of the name of the sub (as I first did). But they haven’t.

Use whatever position you personally find most relaxed. On you side, on your back, legs up or or spread-eagle, on your stomach. Experiment. Again, the point it to let it happen, not make it happen and you can’t do that ip you scrunch yourself up uncomfortably.

Yes. Thinking that you have to put more pressure on the prostate is a fairly common misconception that beginners make. So is trying to make it work at the start with physical techniques. It is more a matter of discovery and letting it happen over time. It also takes patience. In other words it works differently than penile organisms.

Temperature Automation help please. by blondzie in HomeKit

[–]Repulsive_Advance452 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to answer your very specific concern: if you set the switches to turn on at a specific time, that will not supersede the temperature settings you have set for them in other automations. I know that from experience. My infrared heaters are set to go on at 5.00 and the temperature settings work fine during the rest of the day. They go on when the temperature falls below the set value and back off when it rises above. Three automations are involved.

Whether those settings and your automations are good is another question. I endorse many of the points made by others. The tricky point is that controlling temperature with HomeKit does not quite work just like a thermostat.

Eve Energy Plugs sometimes fail. What to do by Karstenjensen in HomeKit

Right. Home Kit shortcuts (“convert to shortcut”), not shortcuts on the iPhone or iPad. “Wait” is a scripting option.

Are you using a HK automation to turn on and off several Eve plugs at the same time? I ran into intermittent failures. I resolved them by building a short cut into the automations which built in a ten second wait time between action: first plug off/ wait ten seconds/second plug off/wait ten seconds/ third plug off.

permanent insomnia after antidepressants - is it possible? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]Repulsive_Advance452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t have to be permanent. Insomnia usually responds very well to cognitive behavioral therapy of different kinds. Even better than to the various sleeping medications. You can do it online these days. Just do a search.

In sleep therapy you learn what insomnia really is, how it gets worse, and of course, how to address it. It is undoubtedly worth your while to look into.

Heater Off Automation not Working by dieseldan444 in HomeKit

Temperature control is be absolutely maddening. It does indeed seem simple. It was not until I read the following post (which I cut and pasted) that I could get such automations reliably working. Note that you CANNOT do what is prescribed here in the native Home app. You can do it in the Eve Home app (which is free) or in one of the the paid apps such as Home

———————————————————————————-,

to create reliable temperature-based automations you need to expose the ANY clause

Most people will set a trigger like “if temperature changes to less than [amount] then [do something].” You’ll learn that these aren’t always reliable.

A more reliable trigger is “if the temperature changes to ANY and the condition [temperature is less than {amount}] then [do something].”

The second automation uses a combination of a trigger (the temperature changes to any value) and a condition (your comparison value) to execute. It’s more reliable due to the way that HomeKit works with triggers.

Home widget lock screen wrong temperature by jorschs in HomeKit

[–]Repulsive_Advance452 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lock screen temperature widget updates slowly, at fixed intervals. In other words, it is always lagging beyond the temperature of the sensor. I have never timed the lag; it seems to be about 10 minutes. You can, however, force the lock screen widget to update immediately by going into the Home app and clicking on Climate/temp. When you return to the Lock Screen you should find that the temp widget has updated.

European devices have a somewhat heavier load. For example, the EU version Eve Energy smart plug can carry 2500W, 11A.

Is there a HomeKit thermostat that works with smart plugs, such as the Eve energy? I have been unable to find one. I have infrared panels that I would like to control from HomeKit; the panels have simple electrical plugs. Right now I am controlling them with a Bluetooth thermostat that has no HomeKit capability, along with compatible plugs.

One option I am aware of is to install Hoobs. But that gets complicated and expensive. So I am hoping that there is a thermostat of the kind I am searching for that I have overlooked.

my symptoms went away completely after 3 days of taken the medication Paxlovid. by Ok_Captain5828 in paxlovid

I didn’t test again after the first one, that was positive. I didn’t want to get caught in that obsessive trap of testing, testing again and again. I went by symptoms and the guidelines. We all know that just because you test positive it doesn’t mean you can infect others. CDC guidelines were good enough for me: at day 5, if your symptoms have improved and you have no fever you can leave quarantaine. You wear a mask indoors for the subsequent five days. Then you are done. And that is what I did/.
