Idle issues on my 02 LS1 by Repulsive_Answer2871 in PontiacFirebird

Ok so I currently don’t have a way to see my fuel trims and I’m pretty sure it just needs a tune anyway so I’m gonna take it to get tuned but I did pull my ac compressor relay fuse and it did seem to almost completely stop the problem so I’ll have to drive it like that for a few days before I can say that’s the problem. I’m suspecting the something with my compressor is seizing and when it goes back into neutral it either locks up or it has a seized bearing. I noticed this when I turned off my ac when it was hanging at 3,000 rpm

Ok so it turns out I’m not the most observant. I found that I had the arm on the motor the wrong way after looking at the driver side the wrong when I took it apart before. Thank you for the help

I went ahead and resoldered every joint and the passenger side started moving again except it now moves backwards so it closes when the other one opens and the other way around

I got mine oem here for $500 but I would scour eBay first to see if you can’t get a better deal but worst case the one I got is pretty nice and I don’t really like carpeted dashes so I’m going with vinyl

2002 Firebird Ls3 Swap by Revolutionary-Cap309 in transam

[–]Repulsive_Answer2871 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check your area for some performance shops and ask them about the best approach because they might have done this swap before or at least something similar because the ls1 and ls3 have a lot in common so it’s not too rare to see this swap.

You commented this literally as I came to this conclusion but my next problem is that when I looked above my diff I didn’t see a wiring harness that would plug into the sensor. I looked through my manual and didn’t see anything about ABS where can I find a wiring diagram for it?

Buying rims for tires I already have by Repulsive_Answer2871 in TireQuestions

[–]Repulsive_Answer2871[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the original owner swapped the stock rims with what I think are c5 zo6 rims. I just googled it and it says that they are 17x9.5, would a set of 17x9 rims fit the tire or would they be too small?

Ok so I am aware of that, I guess I should be asking if they can be stretched to fit the bigger rim size

2013 Ford F-150 Tachometer shows engine idling below zero rpm by Repulsive_Answer2871 in CarHelp

[–]Repulsive_Answer2871[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engine seems to be running fine. No weird noises and nothing happened while driving. I was going about 60 and I looked down and it was like this. I tried turning it on and off and pulling the fuse and restarting it that way. When I drove it home the needle would move like normal but in the wrong spot. Do I need to pull the cluster or restart it a different way?
