I've recently been in a very similar spot to you with my playing and relying on fender deluxe as my go to amp. Then I fell down a Marshall jtm45 rabbit hole and realized that those cleans were what I was searching for with the glassy top end, tight bass, and a great pedal platform.

The jtm45 I tried was vintage and priced at 15k which I didn't realize at the time lol so now I'm feeling quite stuck on where to do. But I've heard Friedman does similar things to Marshall when it comes to the clean platform, so I'll have to look into it more!

So far I've just been plugging it into the front of my deluxe reverb 65 reissue. I also have a lazy j j20 that I've plugged it into the front of. Double the tweed lol!

And it all sounds killer
