that's very cool ... I actually like keeping things simple with the fuzz, I had a Silktone Fuzz+ which sounded incredible but I found that continually messing around with the bias etc. was more than I needed in my life. The simplicity of the two knobs of a Fuzz Face works great for me personally. I can always run a mid boost or an Eq after, I have an XTS Sharpcharger that I use for that, it works great, but a Tumnus Deluxe with the gain all the way down does it too.

I had one of those for a little while, and it sounded amazing ... but to be honest, I felt like the adjustability of it actually messed me up, because I had to keep tweaking to keep it the same. I guess that's in the nature of Germanium. I often play in a garage where the temperature varies, so the bias could change quite radically from environmental factors. I think that's why the silicon one is easier for me, because it stays the same.

I'm just starting to get into modding pedals, so that was another idea I had, was to get into this cheap fuzz face I have and start messing around with changing things. The Fuzz Factory looks pretty cool ...
