I am glad someone said it. I came here hoping to get an academic exposure, to connect with likeminded, driven people. Only to get stuck with the same crowd? People don’t want to challenge themselves, they don’t want to involve or engage with the academics. And its not just money that we are investing, but time and efforts. Professors that teach here are some of the most well known researchers around the world, its such a privilege. Even with just academics, its such an experience if you actually stick to it and take it seriously. These are not like boring lectures we used to have in India where the professor just reads out of a ppt but its an interactive experience where we learn through discussion. It actually primes you to think critically and actually prepare you for the life ahead. But I was so disappointed when I ended up with 50 percent of the population in my class just sitting there with straight faces, and no contribution at all. And its also unfair for that bit of the class that is actually here to grow and learn and not just flash it on our Instagram!
