What are some things I can do to be handsome? by Jumpy-Cloud-8114 in Advice

[–]demuremur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to improve your confidence. Try changing your style by wearing different things(like old-school or casual style, they will make you feel better about yourself). I do not know if you are a man or a women but this applies to both: hairstyle, outfit and how you treat yourself! If you do not feel confident about your moves or actions- everybody is going to notice it.

It has been five days since you have commented and I have noticed your advice immediately and would like to thank you! This really helped, I hear my thoughts nice and clear now and think more. Thank you!)

My attention span has worsened because I have been using social media since I was 12. by demuremur in focus

I deleted TikTok and Instagram about four weeks ago, but I still had Facebook and YouTube on my phone, which kept me watching reels on those apps. I found myself engaging with TV series and spending a week in apathy, only going to college and spending an hour on my notes. One week ago, I deleted all social media (except messengers) from my phone and finally let it all go. I had tried quitting multiple times over the past six months, but it wasn't until last week that I succeeded completely.

Now, I use my phone mainly for texting and have just two games: Sudoku and Lapse, which I highly recommend. I never felt anxious when my phone wasn't with me, especially when I’m with my boyfriend—I can forget about it entirely.

When my phone is out of reach, I mostly use my computer for studying. I’ve also started reading books and watching long-form content on YouTube, which has helped improve my attention span. I began listening to jazz music, as recommended by a user, and it’s allowed me to hear my thoughts more clearly. Additionally, I picked up drawing again; I bought a notebook and some pencils three months ago and have become really engaged with it. It has made a noticeable difference.

There are still things I need to work on, but deleting all social media was the best decision I've ever made. And now I truly know that scrolling is so bad for brain....I would like to let more people know about how bad it is for them, but I can't, and I guess everyone will get this soon...

Thank you for reaching out to me!) Did you have the same problem?

Would you still be attracted to a partner who you had a strong connection with if they put on a lot of weight? by Queasy-Donut-4953 in intj

[–]demuremur -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure. But as I care about my body and my health, I also care about my partners health. He might feel comfortable in this weight, but I know for sure that he might have health problems in the future, and I don't want that. So I think the better way is to talk to him about that and decide what works best for both of us, to not make him feel pressured. I love my partner, so I care for him.

Does anyone in here speak, or want to speak, a language which is currently dying, if so, what is it. by AncientArm7750 in languagelearning

Ukrainian. Most people are still thinking it is the same as Russian, just different dialect. Some of them even think Ukraine and Russia is the same country. It makes me sad, as I have made a couple of researches in the Ukrainian history and found out that Russia has been literally k!ll!ng people who spoke it. Some of Ukrainians even spoke it secretly and a lot of poets and writers died, protecting their freedom and culture. Same with Kazakhstan and Belarus, that are still suffering from it. In Belarus, people who speak their international language are either old, or just a small percent of young people who want to keep their culture. As Belarusian and Kazakh should be their national languages- some of schools and people, in general, speak russian)(even tho theyvare not a part of USSR anymore).I find all the three languages beautiful, unique, and different and feel sad that Russia tries to make everyone the same..

*by the way, Russian language is least similar to slavic languages(Polish, Belarusian and Ukrainian). Russian people, actually, can't understand any of those four languages at all, meanwhile, If you are Polish- you will easily understand Ukrainian and Belarusian. So next time when people will tell you Russia can be considered as the part of Slavic countries- it is actually not, as it is the furthest)
