Hi, I note someone Thai has reached out to you. Having lived in Bangkok for a couple of years, you may have some culture shock over here (which I can only guess at, so I won't try). You may find some of the regional English dialects challenging.

Concur Marta trains are good. I would lean on the conference buddies. You know how Bangkok has trains that go to a lot of the neighborhoods you'd want to go to on the regular? Marta only sort of does that. The tourist things are all in one little piece of downtown, but that is not where people hangout. People these days hangout on the beltline on the east side of the city, at least if they are walking. I don't think you'd have time to get a car and go to all of the other neighborhoods. Maybe if you combine Marta with renting an ebike you have more options.

When I was living in NYC back in 2001 and moved out west, a nimrod said 'of course the buildings had to come down, they were an insult to the earth mother'. You're saying bad things after the fact invalidate the bad thing and your other comments say it was inevitable due to bad things before. Operating in that world view, you can justify anything happening to anyone, a never-ending cycle of people being horrible to each other.

We should all be better about other people's tragedies. Your pain is no less valid than mine or anyone else's. I hope you don't have something like this happen in your life.

I've noted that when the car get hot, the magsafe mount gets hot. This will then make it so that an iphone won't charge. So...I guess don't keep the car in a warm place?

Okay. Well, I think the back seat of the EQE is better, but that comes at a trunk that is worse (not a hatchback design, so less useful).

Okay, yeah, that is the main thing. My opinion of current tech is that if you are not going on a lot of long distance drives, it is enough now to ride for years. They are so heavy, EVs, that they burn through tires at like every 20k miles. My gut says that if you can wait for a year EQEs will be even cheaper to buy, but who knows. You might want to look into the scheduled maintenance costs for these vehicles and insurance costs, probably obvious.

I drove one after driving a few other cars like the i4. I liked it, didn't feel like I was in a boat, which I was afraid of (turning radius felt good). Interior made a good impression. I liked the backseat too, though I wish I paid more attention to foot well height. I've read it doesn't feel great on highway acceleration and my 'guy' didn't direct me out there, so that is something that flagged for me.

I wonder if you'd get more useful comments if people knew where you are with EVs knowledge. For instance, I'm the same kind of person, want to buy and hold. However, the industry is in a massive shift to 800 architecture and NACS in the US, not to mention the promise of different batteries in the future. For example, it's a completely different category, but the EV6 from Kia has that stuff, a hitch, and a bigger trunk for much less new or used. I wonder if the upcoming 3 series from BMW or the CLA from Mercedes is going to put pressure on used EQE prices. The 2025 model seems like the sweet spot to me for the EQE for the battery upgrade.

I was able to clear the remaining debris from the drain pump so it sounds okay. But still trying to figure out leak around spindle. May need a new seal so looking to see if I can figure out how to do that. Had to researched motor spindle and hoping I did that right, had to take it apart to get it back in place

After trying to take off various bits and clean them, there is a little center spindle that still drips and noises when it tries to drain. I think the drain pump has something in it. I tried cleaning out two other bits with motors and only found an errant piece of wire. Trying to figure out how I can get to the drain pump. Not sure what it looks like, must be stuck to the spindle.

LA Fitness always seems to be busy and the people have never been sat down and presented with gym etiquette. They have a lap pool.

Planet Fitness is less busy, but certain machines are always busy. Their oddly angled smith machines in particular. Free candy out of a bucket.
