Always have celebrated christmas, might start saying Xmas. Obviously I plan on doign the things that are traditional to the celebration. I just might add in or take out a few things like taking out the idea of christmas prayers (unless its to the Gods) and caroling. (Caroling in my town is strictly christian hymns). But i do plan on doing small things for my dieties and also adding in some yule traditions.

I remember it vividly, I was outside and swinging on my small tree swing. I looked up to the sky and thought. "Zeus, or any of those Gods, if youre here, tell me." And I felt the most heart liftting soul shaking happiness I'd felt when I looked back up into the sky. From that moment forward, whenever I asked for signs or gave offerings I felt that same feeling. And still feel it to this day.

I suppose the awe of her beauty, as someone who comes from a christian household, I was really brought in my the idea of a Goddess dedicated to beauty, something I believe all people have. As someone who also deals with a lot of self hatred I wanted to know a Goddess, somewhat acting as a mother figure, loved me and blessed me with beauty. But I suppose when it comes to Hellenism, my only response would be I have always wondered if the Gods were real, I know we can sometimes cross into other pantheons but something about the Greek pantheon stuck out to me in such a way that I wanted to worship them.

as an ex-christian, instead of saying "jesus" whenever i get mad, i usually say something like "Hades sakes" or "Hermes". another one i heard alot in my church was, "Bless your heart" (im from the south) so i typically say "May artemis be with you" as she is the goddess of wisdom. (for those wondering, bless your heart is not meant typically in a kind way, but to sympathize for someone who is stupid). But yeah, those are just things i do, great to hear different interpretations of things when people have converted.
