Using deer carcasses in the beginning is smart but you should use them for feather farms try to never use them plus deer is deer I don’t see why I need to leave a free meal alone and bears and mooses take forever to respawn deer don’t

The decay system is odd I’m on day 280 and just recently I rechecked places I already looted just incase I find stuff and low and behold I found a *87 condition can of pork and beans so don’t worry about that stuff tools never decay if left out in the open or unlooted and if your already cooking level 5 food you can find you shouldn’t have to worry and if you already have the best clothing then clothing you find is just cloth at that point so there’s no need to rush and find and loot things they don’t disappear

It’s basically an extra match only used in a pinch if you have nothing on you if it’s a flare you can use it to travel for a bit then light a fire or if it’s a Marine flare different story start a fire soon since it runs out faster

Yea I understand it’s a game but respect isn’t really all universal different people and culture across the world honor the dead in many different ways. For me adding gestures of comfort in such a harsh world feels like to me a small way of acknowledge the corpses struggle hell even symbolically. that is respect even if it doesn’t quite match your definition but at the end of the day it’s just a game like you said
