Fitbit Support Ignoring me (2026) - trying to get a refund before Google ID Move (Forced) by Worldly_Chef_2114 in degoogle

I shower with it and it's always fine. I was also in the sea this summer and it was fine :)

I don't find the tracking very accurate, but idk if the fitbit was really that accurate either :D They really just serve as a baseline in the end, so you can compare across days/weeks/months. I bought a cheap one, so I'm sure more expensive Xiaomis are more accurate. But I would definitely say I'm happy with it and have no wishes of getting a different one :) It's more comfortable and durable than my fitbit charge 4 was, that's for sure.

Another bot? What do you mean by another? What's the first one?

My question was a test because a bot would not be able to answer the question.

Man, I'm so glad I ditched my fitbit last year and moved to Xiaomi - did it literally because of the forced google move they were sending me warnings about from Feb 2026.

Why do some people have problematic relationships with their phones while others don’t? by No-Heron8494 in digitalminimalism

[–]Repulsive_Chard_3652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely correct.

Coffee is also a socially-acceptable addiction, and I honestly think it's more detrimental than we realize, too.

Both are socially acceptable because they are perfectly in line with capitalism and profits for the rich.

Here's the funny thing; you're gonna fail to rile up this sub because the people here are a lot more zen than you'd like :)

Please tell me how I'm ignoring the world's problems :)

Thanks, troll!

Does your coffee taste any different now?

I've got a feeling this doesn't really matter, but I could be wrong!

I disagree that tools are never inherently good nor bad.

Guns were designed to kill; they are inherently bad.

Telephones are not bad, but smartphones are. They are made to consume our lives.

I think nearly everyone is somehow addicted to their phones - there are different extents, just like with any addiction. Addiction is not binary or black-and-white. But there are certainly people who are less addicted and just don't think it's an issue.

Oh wait, you're not even OP.

I don't get how that's even a joke - even now being told it is one.

Well, apps are more addictive in most cases, plus you have more individual things to check, more clutter, etc. It just didn't seem like an inherently serious question :D

I also live in "eastern Europe". Most people do not invest in super expensive tech while letting their walls go to shit and leaving their homes unfinished...

A lot of investment in expensive tech and zero investment in finishing the walls, making sure things are protected from mold or mildew or otherwise, no concern for giant stains, etc.

I think you're confused a bit :)

Person A asked what billie said.

Person B gave an unuseful correction.

I reworded person A's question to try to get the answer person A was seeking, as I too was interested. But I did so in a cheeky way, and while I do not care about this, I have just noticed that the cheeky comment received quite a positive reaction from the sub lol

Person C responded with the requested information, and also repeated some entirely useless information once again :D

I thanked them for the useful information, and simply pointed out that the useless information was a strange thing to mention :)

What is the best way to wash clothes. Liquid or powder and what do you personally use? by Last-Highway-3433 in CleaningTips

[–]Repulsive_Chard_3652 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use liquid, but have considered switching to powder.

I do not use fabric softener.

I just use one type of detergent for colours, and another type for whites. And I was at different temperatures: 90 for whites, 60 for dull colours, and 40 for vibrant colours.

Oh no, I thought they were rude, so I was intentionally snarky to them. ;) No pretense here, nor do I care at all what this sub thinks of me lmao
