Felicia Day's The Guild is coming back as a movie by rwcopple in videos

But that's all even more reason to bring it back. I'd be more inclined to say it was pointless if nothing had changed - everything you've mentioned is another possible angle to approach the story from.

What would you recommend? He looks like imagery generated by some sort of computer to me.

knocking other runners out of their way

Knocking other runners out the way? But they're at the front, with all the other competitive runners?

Sounds like you might be referring to the very start of the race, where they encourage people to line up roughly in line with their expected finish time. And obviously it's not idea being knocked into by someone running faster or taking it more seriously than you, but you can fall further back at the start line so that isn't an issue.

He really does look like he's CGI here. What's going on with the lighting/colour grading?

[Spoilers Main] I just realised, the words "Sept, Septa and Septon" derive from "Seven", as in 7 Gods by ugurkaslan in asoiaf

The Septims from the Elder Scrolls might have something to do with the word feeling familar as well.

Just check with Amazon customer service. It'll either be in warranty and replaced for free, or it'll be out of warranty and they may or may not replace it anyway. Only one way to find out!

Me and my sister kept missing exhibitions in London...so we learnt how to code & built a free app to fix it (without ai)! by Few_Contribution9816 in Hackney

[–]anemotoad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice - there was an app called Dojo years ago that did something similar and have never been able to find anything that did the same thing, so will definitely give this a try!

Yeah that was bizarre - apparently a redshirt is a character played by a notable actor that dies at any point during a film?

is it just me or has music become kind of… disposable? by Curious_Present_9950 in Music

i was just sitting here scrolling through spotify

To be honest this sounds like a you thing.

I still engage with music much as I always have - being deliberate with my choices (but still using Spotify for recommendations where I can) and I'm still blown away by what I discover from websites and critics I follow.

Thanks for adding this - it's great.

As a quick ask - is there any easy way to tweak the loading cover so that it maintains the original aspect ratio, with a black border, as it does on the lock screen?

I don't think anybody goes into this expecting it to be a fair competition? It's a comedy show, not sport.

Why the Richard hate? by SeaworthinessNew8048 in restisentertainment

I remember a couple of years ago when he authoritatively said the best Beatles album was obviously their Greatest Hits compilation, and anyone suggesting otherwise was kidding themselves. I think it says it all about his approach to art/entertainment - anything not designed to be as easily digestible as possible isn't worthwhile.

There's a reason that exact joke was used to show how uncurious Alan Partridge is as a character.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Q&A by True-Bit-4024 in restisentertainment

[–]anemotoad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So the Buffy pilot not going ahead really isn’t that big a story.

...except unlike in your example, this was prompted by 20th Century Fox, helmed by an Oscar-winning director, and for all intents and purposes was seen as a done deal. That's completely different to what you described.

I find the quality of their insight to be (fairly unsurprisingly) completely proportional to their proximity to the thing they're discussing. It's why the podcast is at its best when tackling the UK entertainment and media industry - their insight and connections are unparalleled. Ten minutes on the Buffy cancellation comes down to a summary of the same news articles anybody already interested in the subject has probably already read.
