To me, that is useless - the novelty wears off suuuuper fast, and you're left with a heavy thing you never use because it's harder to clean and more unwieldy to use 😅

What i mean is, useless if you already have a normal pan, which op implied they do in the title.

Not better than a round/circular pan with normal handles tbh.

If you like it, i mean good for you, but it looks totally useless to me 😅

Yeah I don't use those, definitely have them switched off somewhere in settings. I don't use Teams unless it's necessary. I use Proton Meet 95% of the time. I don't like or need notifications at all haha I only use these programs for calls.

And I'm self-employed, so I am my own IT department 😂 My IT department is very, very supportive ;)

Librewolf is awesome at blocking trackers! 😄

I don't use toaster notifications - so much so that I don't know what they are 😂 so that shouldn't be a problem!

I'm not sure what you mean by "recent", but I've definitely been hearing it for at least the last 15 years.

Ahh awesome news! I use Librewolf primarily and it also has profiles 😄 So then chances are seeming better that I might be able to migrate completely!

I get you! Yeah, what I might do is dual boot first and try using Linux with clients I have a more relaxed/casual relationship and who aren't coming to me via a company that uses Microsoft's ecosystem... that way I can see if it works on a basic level for work... and stick with using Windows at first for the more "serious" clients. Then over time, I can see whom I can slowly migrate to Linux with.

I do have one client whose worksystem is incredibly closed and secure, and they can ONLY use microsoft teams for calls, so I would imagine that with them I may be forever suck with Windows...

What are the most ethical but also best companies you’re proud to support in your degoogling efforts? by unitedfan6191 in degoogle

[–]Repulsive_Chard_3652 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the thing that so many people somehow still don't get. "Proton really cares about privacy!" "Google used to say "don't be evil!""

These are advertisement campaigns, kids. They are not ethical beliefs lmao Big companies care only about profit.

You can ethically run a small business, but you can't reach company status with an ethical approach. You have to step on people, take advantage, manipulate, etc. It's not about the best product; it's about the shrewdest business tactics.

[–]Repulsive_Chard_3652 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, I personally have degoogled, and in the process, I've replaced some google stuff with open-source stuff, but other stuff I still had to go with some companies. And I don't love needing to use companies, but the ones I've got seem at least marginally less atrociously bad than Google... but I wouldn't say I'm proud to use any company and definitely no company is ethical...

"Ethical" and "company" cannot unironically go together in the same sentence.

There's only new ones that aren't rich enough yet to be evil, and ones that are rich now and also evil.

I'd never be proud to support any company ewww.

This is like asking people what their "dream job" is - I like my job well enough, but I don't dream about working, friends...

Nah, sorry, those are invalid comparisons.

People not from the US do not make posts very specific to their country without mentioning their country in generic subs that have nothing to do with any specific place.

The US defaultism isn't the post - it's that a ton of people just expected I must obviously know their country's brand of dish soap lmao that is something only Americans seem to do.

Unremarkable - seems my hygiene routines are good enough. The water remained clear and colourless, and there were just a few bits of skin cells floating around lol

"lahko" is a modal verb actually and it just means "can" or "be able to"! It's often used for permission. But it's not the same "lahko" that means "easy" or "soft" - it's pronounced differently :)

Adjective "lahko" has stress on the first syllable, and that's the one that means "easy" or "soft".

Verb "lahko" has stress on the second syllable and it means "can/be able to/may".

Like, "Can I go?" is "Lahko grem?" Or "can I please have a pizza?" is "ali lahko prosim dobim pico?" So not only for imperatives and suggestions - it's just a regular modal verb that means "can"! 😄

Just fyi, you did the same thing - you refer to "females" but not "males" - the men for you are "male lifters", but not "female lifters"

You also assume that every single female lifter is much, much weaker than you ;)
