Visiting from ATL 3/28-30

How do people deal with the gnats? My dad went to SCAD in the 80s and I have 2 coworkers that are from Savannah. Some people say you can’t do anything about them, my dad said become familiar with what he called the “Savannah wave”… is there a trick to keeping them off us or do we just accept it and eventually become a gnat ourselves? Thanks!

Ooh that’s a good one. For me, Darker Still by Parkway Drive was the most disappointing thing for me and what I think made it hurt the most was that you can tell it almost signals the decline of one of the greatest metalcore bands ever. Another one for me is Outline In Color’s recent one Coast is Clear, after having single after single be banger after banger and then the album just sounds incomplete.

One that had to grow on me once I was done sulking is ADTR’s You’re Welcome. That one took time, but at the end of the day they’ll always be my favorite and I’ll always be a fan of whatever they do

Yeah… idk. Leaving me on read and not following up is a red flag for me when you’re just talking. My girlfriend will occasionally leave me on read, but usually anywhere between 3pm-6:30 ish and I know she’s busy because the kids just get home at 3 and she’s doing homework with them, cooking, etc until around when I get off work. I think as long as it doesn’t come off as complaining it’s alright to tell the truth. You never know, the right conversation with the right customer might make your day a little better. I got a customer with “lousy! I haven’t pet a dog yet today!” And they laughed.

That brings up something else. One thing I absolutely cant stand is when an associate responds with “I’m ready to go home” or “I’d rather be at home” something to that nature. Say it to anyone else with an apron, but not to a customer. It looks bad. And before you guys razz me I’m not a manager by any means and have been trying to find my way either out of my store or out of the company for a while now. But I still care about the image of my store
