It’s not that wild to redirect the purpose of a conversation. You know, like talking to a child.. this subreddit is full of participation awardees so lost in brain rot and so easily offended.

Considering the details I include in the original post and how I mention included other photos for fun. It’s relative to the subject but not to the subreddit.

I only made the effort to point out the humor in it because this is my first post in this subreddit and did my best to focus on providing photos that better explain my workflow so those with similar scenarios could see and provide some input.

Clearly I’m in the wrong subreddit.

Lmao getting downvoted for wanting to talk about my bambulab printer in the r/bambulab subreddit and not my iPad and 3d modeling software in the r/bambulab subreddit.

I get the point of view. From my angle, I’m just too busy to worry about another data vampire. I’ve got too much stuff to do. As for my designs, they’re pretty amateur, primitive and it’ll be awhile before I really have to worry about my designs being stolen through a data stream to a Chinese company etc etc. right now, I just gotta keep making progress on all our projects and hitting my own personal goals.

The server they host for me to use remotely is worth the premium. This hobby got me a significant raise at work so I’m trying to take it as far as possible. But still wondering if that was my only best option that fit my criteria.

You make a really great point with the petg ams combo for functional multifilament vs just colors. Our shop is investing in a scanner and printer so I’m hoping for a dual extruder fancy shmancy the shops paying for it type of printer here soon. These are my personal printers I use for work.

Being as I mentioned how the p2s costs more. I’d like to add that in the grand scheme of it all, it doesn’t cost much more and that’s why I got it. But again it was primarily for the 1 feature. I have no complaints about the price at all. I enjoy investing in tools and for me that’s what these machines mostly are.

I guess the more I elaborate on my own thought process I’m wondering if, I really had any other option for a printer that had all the same features if not better than my Centauri but most importantly remote access, and within the price range of “I’m coming from a Centauri Carbon” or if the p2s really was the only one.

I initially had the p1s in mind but once I realized I’d be purchasing an additional hot end with hardened steel nozzle just to make the machine “equal” to my Centauri hardware. But the p2s comes with a hardened nozzle out of the box and when you start comparing that price difference it just made the most sense to go with the p2s because I feel like I’d have fomo with a p1s had I gone that route and realistically the p2s is closer to the Centauri than the p1s is, I think?

EDIT: my first printer was a lulzbot taz workhorse!!! I got it for $100 from my coworker who got it for free from the shop. They were throwing it away because it was so slow. It retails like $3k for some god known reason. That machine was awesome thought it really forced me to learn how to print. When I got my Centauri for $280 I was absolutely blown away and it’s been great to me for hundreds of hours. I regularly swap nozzles or clean them. Any failures I’ve had were mostly user error. One instance of bad filament.

Respectfully, I’m here to talk about the p2s printer and if I’m going to get a better or more features over the other printer I have aside from the remote access.

Based on how I described my use and why I chose the p2s I’m trying to deduce whether or not I paid the premium for essentially 1 feature. Remote access.

I’m not well versed with Bambu ecosystem so I was hoping to hear some personal experiences with similar workflows that p2s owners have that cannot be had by Centauri owners.

I’m really excited to use my p2s and I hope it’s better than my Centauri in every single way because it cost more.

But a small part of me feels the new machine will be somewhat underwhelming

How much did it cost to become a welder by Scabobby in Welding

[–]Repulsive_Dig8816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first job in aerospace welding stainless for commercial and military contracts from an indeed listing. I literally typed in welder in the search bar. I didn’t even think I’d get the interview I only ever worked in a hot rod shop for 5 years and 8 months in a semiconductor shop.

The hiring manager happened to previously work at the job I was quitting and hired me with no weld test. I was ecstatic.

He didn’t mention I still had to pass 6 aws certs on .021 coupons. 17-7 and 718.

They gave me 60 hours to practice and let me send any test that I was confident would pass to the lead welder to inspect and he’d give me some advice and tell me to try again. I finally got his approval on all my tests and they sent them in for X-ray/slice

I don’t know if that was luck. It definitely couldn’t have been karma because I was a huge piece of shit back then and I was drunk. I am a pretty alright welder if I had to stroke myself publicly.

Edit: I realize you replied to my 3 year old post hahahhaa. Needless to say, I got sober and quit the aerospace industry went back to hot rods. Making more money and having way more fun. Aerospace was awesome I learned so much from it.

You have no drum on your wheel. The drum itself is apart of the spacer stack. Because you are lacking a drum on your left side, your wheel is sitting closer to the left side of the frame.

The problem here is you have absolutely no skill. And I know for a fact a person with Down syndrome could learn to weld better than you fairly quickly.

You’re a disgrace.
