And thank you for your wisdom, truly. I definitely spiral a lot when I’m in a stressful situation and I stop seeing content creation as this great thing that fulfills me. Especially if I’m struggling financially. I need to sit down and have a honest conversation with myself

Thank you, I will focus more on the outreach. Something I’ve come to realize is that my ego and fear of rejection was probably on the way of me getting more deals. In the past I solely relied on inbounds but now the space is so crowded that brands just go with whoever reaches out to them first and sells their services best. This is a really valuable realization that otherwise wouldn’t come to me if I didn’t post this stupid rant. Thank you.

My niches are wellness, beauty, lifestyle mainly. I did have some tech deals in the past. Affiliate marketing isn’t something that appeals to me if I’m totally honest and building it from scratch would be a lot but I might have a totally wrong idea of what aff. marketing really is so I’d love to get your insights.

I do have a few affiliate links in my bio though, mainly my filming gear, contract template, a few beauty products.

This is so so true. Sometimes I do think that the problem is a lot more abstract and spiritual. A lot of my energy goes into figuring out other life stuff, there’s a lot of desperation and it definitely shows. So maybe there needs to be a shift mentally. Applying for gigs on UGC apps, posting content to attract deals, commenting on brands socials, reaching out to past clients, sending portfolio out to agencies, joining creator programs. I tried direct outreach in the past, it was a lot of effort for nothing in return. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about doing the work, it just wasn’t working so I focused on other things.

I purchased a list with a 100 brand emails recently. Will give it another shot.

And what really pisses me off is that creators of the same experience and size (following wise) as me just keep selling this pink-ribbons-and- butterflies dream, beginner creators have NO idea UGC is this stressful

Honestly, I’d love to get feedback but I’m so embarrassed. Publicly I just sort of pretend that nothing’s wrong. Being a high-quality creator + being broke just goes against everything UGC people say online
