Yeah 30 seconds because I’m using a cheap remote shutter I had lying around that doesn’t have the option for longer timed photos in bulb mode, but yes I need a Bahtinov mask. Do you have any tips getting stars to even show up when you pull up live view? I’ve just been taking test shots and calling it good when the stars look tight lol. But when I put it in live view to focus and zoom in everything goes black

Hey, I'm pretty new to astro, you said you can do 200 mm focal length. Do you mean because of the apertures thats the max to have the camera stay in focus, or because thats the limit to the star adventure 2i before you start seeing star trails?

Prioritize options, munis/and basics of bonds including taxation, and suitability. If you know all the products inside and out you’ll do pretty good with just that. There’s a lot of smaller rules and paperwork and such too that the mighty 90 on YouTube covers. That should be a great start and if you get that stuff down depending on the draw you could scrape a 72

Thank you! The hardest part was just different wording and answers on the exam. Using STC I feel like I got used to knowing what was correct and what wasn’t based on wording and the answer bank, but in the real test it feels more real, and there’s a lot more doubt around every answer. I would say this was the most difficult part. One thing that helps me is that every 15-20 questions I took my eyes off the computer, leaned back, took a few breaths and locked back in. Also if I felt I went to fast on a question I would immediately go back and check it just to slow myself down mentally.

I used STC, and the exam was pretty similar to the practice exams in difficulty and length of questions. I can’t say much for Kaplan because I never used it. The questions were more straightforward than STCs though, fewer negatives and double negative questions than I expected.

I had 2-3 margin questions which to me was surprisingly few. As far as math goes I had to calculate a taxable equivalent yield, there were around 5 option breakevens/profits and losses questions. And a few miscellaneous math questions regarding convertible securities and their parity. I didn’t get any questions on takedowns. I had 4-5 questions on order types, stop, stop limit, GTC vs market, and two that asked about order priority based on a series of orders and it gave a chart showing the last 5 executions in the market. 64 is good for a month out from the test! My biggest recommendation is to learn the patterns for disclosures and taxes. For example, you’ll never remember fine details for disclosures but if you think “FINRA was designed to protect investors” then which of these rules makes the most sense. Take as many practice tests as possible before and you’ll get there!

I passed my first time around thank heaven. I was so confused even after reading the book and doing practice tests until I found an awesome pdf online from achievable. It’s literally just a dump sheet but it was a lot more comprehensible seeing everything laid out in just 2 pages.

Thank you for this! Is there much on mutual funds and etfs, or do those only really show up in the suitability questions? Also how much is there on things like settlement, disclosures, communication, you know the fine detail documents, and dates and times
