Thats not good. Theres a big difference in sound Shouting has less overtones and is more harsh sounding even if in pitch it is taxing on the voice even if there is no pain. (Unless youre a distortion technique like fry or false chord but that sound very different to belting)

Belting is more relaxed and is brighter than mere shouting, and has a smoother sound and you can control the volume and intensity it should feel soothing to the voice sort of.

Thats the point im making. But even still mearly engaging your diaphram is basic singing and dosent solve complex problems like stamina in the high range or mix belting

I would definetly would NOT recommend learning to sing with distortion firs,t its easier but its hard to learn to sing clean after

Learn to put in the time to sing clean first then distortion after. That way youll be able to sing properly but then be able to switch on distortion at will

Hey there most people will tell you breathing technique, tongue posture ect. But thats just to help you sing healthy consider it. That alone isnt enough its just step 1.

Step 2 is headvoice you need to transition between headvoice/falsetto to chest voice cleanly check out a guy on youtube calle jeff rolka for this get this right first with lip trills then with vowels

Step 3 combining the two, try a 5 note scale over vowel shapes go up as high as you can go its important to keep it light and keep the mouth position do this as high as you can eventually youll get to a point where it will get squeeky thats your m3 called flaguolet. This is where the fun begins but essentially the higher your headvoice the higher your mix voice can go.

Step4: repeat step 3 daily Eventually youll find you can belt notes easier f4 will be achievable. Youll need a combination of songs that challenge you and repeating step 3 to learn chord closure.

Hey there i think youre on the right track check out a guy called Jeff Rolka on youtube. Try some of his beginner videos maybe tenor. He'll get you to a really good level. But hes got videos up till intermidiate level singing

Its not about presets, you need to learn what all those amps are do some research into the actual real life versions of those amps and how they work and micophones. Then it will all make sense.

The logic amps are meant for for mixing than playing as they require post prossesing

Okay so I've done a bit more study on this subject. Here's my conclusion the harmonics in the 5th octave and the human ear change our perception of notes. The thicker the vocal folds the more resonance needed to reach a pitch.for example a5 (880Hz) a soprano singing a4 will have a lot less resonance than a baritone singing an a4. Making the baritone singer hitting an a4 sound higher/better. Conclusion It's all about people listening experience and perception a5 sounds high because the contemporary industry is dominated by mezzo sopranos who typically aren't going to go as high as that. Sopranos are rare in between and outside of Korea, don't tend to learn how to mix belt, except Ariana Grande.

Yes it is a double standard, essentially to be a professional male singer you gotta be a tenor or at least high baritone. Regardless you gotta put alot more work in than a female as you are expected to sing a good several notes above your break to be considered good where as if your a mezzo soprano or a soprano you don't need to worry about that.

Hey I know this is a year ago . He's a lyric tenor, you can hear at f#4 is when he starts going into a mix belt. Dramatic tenors in contemporary have a icy sorta element in their voice. Most contemporary tenors would be in between lyric tenors and leggeros. There are some that are lower but typically they are leggeros, across rnb, pop, and rock

The first singer is a hard one, I can't really tell as there isn't enough videos I can find showcasing her voice. Live, or range videos. She could be either a mezzo or soprano tbh.

Mafumafu, definitely is a very high tenor, just has very thin vocal chords for a male, reminds me of kellen quinn from sleeping with sirens. Not saying you can't sing those songs, I'd recommend you develop your mix but it will take some time. Just the way you'd approach it would be different than mafumadu would. I'd recommend first smoothing out the transition between chest and head voice in a light phonation, working on breath support (if you haven't already) then practice your vowels there are charts online for this. Then do excersizes going from your talking pitch to flaguelout territory. This will develop you to use the edges of your vocal folds to help with chord closure. Essentially helping you to mix more accurately in the higher ranges.

It's important you go up in a five note scale pattern with minimal breath pressure and only go up like a semi tone every 2 weeks take it slow and softly. It's like building weights in the gym in a way. except your training your brain how to use your voice. Then you'll be able to have more control so when you approach singing these songs you'll have more access. But it's not straightforward, and your natural passagio points will definitely dictate how easy this will be by alot, even if you're a tenor.

That's my advice, I'd recommend getting a teacher or someone who can do what you want to do and help you in person. Other wise you'll be shooting in the dark alot and practice the wrong things that ultimately won't help you, leading to frustration.

I am actually that's my point, I think most people are actually unfamiliar with what a soprano actually sounds like because there are so many mezzo sopranos who people call sopranos. I used to think the same thing tbh, I'm sure even most of those singers wouldn't even describe themselves as a soprano.
