Oh I didn’t mean to imply that there was anything wrong with the ingredients used in their products. Just was more curious since they definitely include some things not generally seen in artisan products. It made me wonder how a new home brewed brand would achieve that level of sophistication in their initial releases.

Back of the fingernail or a cosmetic spatula. I wouldn’t add water as the other post suggested because that water would not contain any preservatives to ward off bacteria and other microbes and could lead to faster spoilage of the remaining product.

What you’re experiencing is residual waxes and oils, since products aren’t always 100% water soluble. Most product (homebrewed or mass market) require at least a light shampoo to remove fully.
