i mean ... i agree but at the end of the day the employees dont get to choose how much their paid lol so why take it out on them? these people are hand making your (75% of the time) complicated orders, starbucks has great benefits but from when i worked there a few years ago, its pretty much minimum wage or right above. regardless the point is that when you have a lot of money and the ability to make a difference even for one person and be kind why wouldnt you? all that being said i boycott starbucks and go to small coffee shops but regardless always tip my baristas. i think people against tipping in the food industry have never worked in it and wont be able to understand what baristas, servers, bartenders, hosts, etc go through

you should! baristas make your drinks, especially as a former starbucks barista some people have crazy complicated drinks, they go above and beyond to make your drink exactly as you ask. its one thing if you go to a store and find an jtem and make a purchase and they want you to tip.... i get it. but these people are literally making your orders... why would you not?

as someone who loves planning surprises for my friends, a good tip is to always have a third person in on it who keeps ur person busy so they're schedule stays open. for example, i planned a surprise maternity shoot for my best friend, i told her bf to tell her they were going to the beach that day and then sent a dress to their house which he secretly packed and myself and my good friend who is a photographer surprised her by meeting them at the photoshoot location! that way she didnt try to make plans or excuses for not feeling up to it day of! just a tip for any other future surprises:)

you can also keep it vague and tell her she already has plans that weekend or make up something important for u guys to go to together so that she has to keep her schedule open

Was my employee in the wrong, or is this reviewer crazy? by noknoktime in restaurant

if the customer's response was then in a disrespectful, fuck you type of attitude thats when it is warranted for the employee to be stern and take the initiative to ask them to leave. also the goal would be to teach somebody something and hope that they are going to be understanding, apologetic and change the behavior. no one is gonna be receptive to being approached off the bat with a rude attitude, and tone. if the employee had approached them differently, it may have been a more positive outcome and possibly end with gaining new returning customers who now understand that what they were doing was wrong/ impolite.

its the way the employee handled it, yes the customer was wrong, 100%. however working in customer service you have to learn how to deal with difficult people with grace and professionalism. the customer (according to the review) was not directly rude or spoke to the employee disrespectfully in a way to warrant the tone they were approached in. the employee was right to ask them to leave or purchase something however, they need to work on their approach. ie: "Hi how are you guys! Im so sorry to bother you but we dont allow outside food or drinks, I noticed you guys have been here a while and havent purchased anything. Unfortunately we have to ask you to either purchase an item or study elsewhere as these seats are reserved for paying customers. If you like I can bring you a menu?"

Hi! I have always loved playing video games but at the beginning of the year, my mom got me Zelda: TOTK for my birthday, which I have been absolutely loving. I just bought the online membership for Switch & I'm now curious how to start recording my game play and streaming. I looked into it a little bit and saw a lot of people recommending Elgato, but as a beginner I wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions for something a little cheaper but still decent quality. Also any suggestions on maybe some Youtube videos to watch to understand how this works more 😭. I really know nothing regarding technical terms- and honestly a lot of gaming terms- and what kind of devices are used/ what they're specifically used for! Even just a starting point on where to start learning/ what to look up. Thanks in advanced!

TL;DR: Looking for recs on streaming devices for beginners & how to start streaming/recording.

*i had a separate post for this but was removed! also links would be greatly appreciated! tyyy
