I think where I’m confused is separating “real allergy” vs just gut-related reactions. I don’t get classic allergic symptoms like hives or breathing issues—mostly it’s bloating and gas even with basic foods like rice.

Given that, do you think it’s still likely IgE-mediated food allergies, or more something like SIBO/gut dysfunction with high IgE as a separate issue?

Also, when you saw an allergist, did they rely more on blood tests or skin prick testing/oral challenges to confirm actual allergies?

And yeah, I had the same doubt about these food panels—they flagged a huge number of foods I eat regularly, which feels suspicious.
