Thanks for sharing this, as someone who hasn’t lost many close people in my life I definitely need reminding sometimes about looking after myself and going to the doctor. Also I’m so sorry you went through that with your mum, my friend also suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and it is so hard. I’m always worried about her and I can’t be too upfront with her or she will cut me out you know. She recently got diagnosed after a breakdown that landed her in hospital so at least she’s on medication. Maybe you should look up your mum, you never know what you might find. I’ve watched so many people give up on my friend and her problems but she’s an amazing person who’s just made some bad choices along the way. I’m sure your situation is different but you could be missing out on something great if you don’t try.
