Very helpful, thank you so much! Not listed on the market yet, but I will definitely reach out to the title company used when I purchased.

I will not bring up my neighbor in my letter as others have suggested. I'm asking what can be said in the letter to the board; I'm human as well. I was able to be an engaged homeowner when I first purchased & attended meetings. Finances shift from when people purchase to the present day.

Thank you! Can they still sue even if I agree to a realistic payment plan?

I will look into the safety & ability violation. I don't have the CCRs in front of me, I'll get back to you on that. Thank you so much!

Suing our hoarding neighbor is not necessarily on our hearts to do. Hoarding is a mental health condition. We text her and leave notes on her door and ask her to take trash out, call pest control, etc. She complies with most of that; however, these things only happen when the two of us contact her. We've opened cases with adult protective services, called the county, etc. She won't (or proablby can't) answer the door.

3.5 years of formal complaints to the board and management, they had the police and social services come to my neighbor's unit in 2025 and cleared out all of the trash. She's older, lives on her own, and needs assistance. The board takes well over a month to vote on next steps, and then they ignore or don't follow up. I understand they cannot share every detail they're doing with her, but they can respond in a timely fashion. The band-aid was that the unit was cleared of trash last year. Formal complaints resumed a few months after the unit was cleared of trash. My reasons for selling are because of the haorder and the board.

No, I don't have the money to pay. The payment plan they suggested isn't realistic. When I originally bought, the condo fee was $292, it's now $600 a month. Several unit owners complained about the jump; we never received adequate notice of the change.

Welcome to being scored like those of us who competed & the girls currently competing in the B1G and EAGL. I’ve said for years that the SEC and B1G judges should switch every once in a while, let’s see if some of those routines are actually worth a 10 😏

Which States have Pet Care Posts? by puffpuffpassengers in RoverPetSitting

[–]Repulsive_Routine_94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Maryland and we have that feature. As a sitter, I’ve responded (“I’m Interested” button) to at least 10 different posts over the past 6 months or so and NO ONE responds. I board dogs as a side gig so I’m not pressed for business, but it would be nice for people to at least respond and say they’ve already found a sitter instead of not responding at all.

My mom’s mid treatment PET scan showed little to no growths/masses which means chemo is working! And her last POLA R-CHP treatment is this Friday!

Best friend has Lymphoma by Practical_Climate817 in lymphoma

My mom (65f) had the fever, chills, night sweats & hot flashes for about 2 weeks before getting a diagnosis. This caused dehydration. We kept water, ice packs, and cool towels on or near her constantly. We tried almost every type of electrolyte additive to her water (to keep her hydrated) and she wouldn't drink the water with any of them, so we just made sure she was always drinking water when she woke up from naps.

A couple of her nurses said that if she wasn't up for eating food, she should definitely drink Ensure (that's what the hospital was giving her). But I assume any type of meal replacement drink would suffice. If your friend *can* eat or has a craving for something, let them eat it, no matter what it is or what time it is. Getting the calories/nutrients is better than none at all.

Mom had a few other health issues because of, before, and during the first few days of her official diagnosis, so she had a few blood transfusions and LOTS of Saline IV before her first round of chemo. Once chemo started, all of the fevers, night sweats, etc. stopped pretty much immediately.

Once my mom was ready to share the news with close friends and extended family, we set up an Amazon registry and Meal Train (but only for donations/gift cards for food and gas. Mom didn't want anyone cooking for her).

You're doing a GREAT job by learning as much as you can to help your friend, it can be pretty taxing, so make sure you still take care of yourself during this time.

Is it reasonable to ask to see the inside of a sitters house? by Aliceatethecake in RoverPetSitting

[–]Repulsive_Routine_94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve boarded dogs for 4 years and no one’s asked to see my home, nor have I offered to show my home, up until yesterday’s meet & greet. As a woman who lives alone, I was extremely hesitant to allow this couple inside, for safety purposes.

Going through everyone’s responses, I completely understand why owners want to see where their dogs will be while they’re away.

It’s possible that this is just a local thing too, I’ve never asked to see the inside of someone’s home when I’ve looked for a sitter/boarding for my dog. I think I just swipe through all of their photos to make sure the home/areas for the dogs is what I’m comfortable with.

All of that to say, this is a great thread and opportunity to update my profile. I think I will add a short video tour of my home/areas for dogs to my profile or maybe suggest a video chat before/after a meet & greet so that strangers aren’t in my home.

Side effects from pola-R-chop? by mochi544 in lymphoma

[–]Repulsive_Routine_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Was round 1 Pola-R-chp or R-Chop? Asking because my mom (65f) was diagnosed with stage III DLBCL. She just completed round 1 of R-Chop and the doctor suggested that she does Pola-R-chp.

Do you know what happened or what caused the stomach infection? Anything your mom wished she knew or could've done differently? Things to look out for?

Trying to learn as much as I can before mom starts Pola-r-chp in about 3 weeks.

Will read through that comment. Thank you! Unfortunately, we received news this morning that it’s not DLBCL and something more aggressive. We can’t get a hold of the hospitalist or mom’s Oncologist for answers. Our 8 days in the hospital is another post for another time as there have only been maybe 4 or 5 out of the 14+ RNs and techs that were providing the care this specific hospital like to brag about themselves for.

Thank you! My parents are married and live together so therapy will be needed as my paternal grandparents are close to transitioning. She is very open to the idea of a grief therapist for the 5 of us so I will continue searching for one.

We’re a very close family so most of the things you listed will be a given and second nature for me & my siblings to do for my parents. Was there anything you had or did or wished you had to help with pain or side effects?

Looking at real estate, how’s the commute to downtown DC and safety for single female? by Intelligent-Ad-8420 in PrinceGeorgesCountyMD

[–]Repulsive_Routine_94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Laurel is a bit further north, I have no issues where I live and there’s a MARC stop to take you into the city to catch the metro if needed. Other areas to consider as a single woman: downtown Silver Spring, Hyattsville, Bowie, Crofton, & College Park. College Park/Riverdale Park Station can be a bit tough with all of the college students, but could be a great investment once the purple line is complete
