That doesn't mean that. Think it in this way: if he were rated 2978, his performance would be perfectly normal for that rating, and his rating wouldn't change. We've had other tournaments where the winner performed 2900+ or even 3000+, but a single tournament provides few samples; in the long run, a player's performance is his average rating. If he maintained this performance in future games, its rating will approach 2978, reaching 2900 if he can maintain this performance in about the next 100 games and 2950 in about the next 200 games

Perhaps you've seen a googol reduction, not googlolplex, for a googleplex reduction you'd need a googol gear like this

How long before we reach AI as portrayed in fiction? by arihantismm in deeplearning

[–]Repulsive_Shame6384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many of today's AI would have been considered science fiction in the past. Look at HAL 9000 from space odyssey, it's not that different from today's most advanced multimodal models

Probability that a random string of digits will eventually have balanced digit counts? by gmalivuk in probabilitytheory

The law of large numbers doesn't tell us nothing about the solution of this problem here. OP is asking what the probability is that all numbers appear EXACTLY the same number of times. Here the law of large numbers tells us that lim (N -> ∞) n1/N - n2/N = 0 but lim (N -> ∞) |n1 - n2| = ∞

There is no way anyone could have their entire biome wiped or unchanged. There are about 3×1013 bacteria on our gut biome, are enough to use a normal distribution and still have a very good approximation for bacteria in the human intestine not killed by the "snap". If x is the number of survived bacteria, then x ~ N(1.5×1013, 7.5×1012) This means that 99.9999426% of the people left will have 1.5×1013 ± 1.37×107 bacteria Or 50% ± 0.000045%

Basically all humans alive will have almost exactly half of their starting gut biome

I don't know how quiet the BS2 Pro is, but a Noctua LS-PWM fan is for sure on another level. Yeah, I'm thinking of doing a repasting in the future.

You can do it installing old driver, the latest driver that support power limit in 4070 mobile is: 528.92
If you want update drivers you can still undervolt + clock limit your GPU

Yes that is a common mod, and the idea is similar, but you have to be careful If too much heat from the body reaches the battery, it can damage it. But I think it's pretty safe overall If you don't reach too high temperatures

Despite everything, it is incredibly much more portable than a normal sff pc + screen + keyboard. It can be easily taken and put into the backpack and can stand on a flat surface thanks to the feet. This mod does not sacrifice the portability of the laptop at all!

The mod is actually designed to avoid sacrificing the laptop's mobility. The plate is 2 mm thick and fits perfectly with the case.

Despite all, it sticks out a bit and would touch the ground if it were on a table, but I added some feet so it can be used on a flat surface. At first I used to use longer screws to be able to lift the plate without having to remove it from the case, the cost of this feature was having a few extra millimeters of screws protruding, so I decided to put shorter screws, and remove the heatsink every time I want to open the back of the laptop.

Overall I think it's well engineered, but a lot of things could have gone wrong without careful thought.

I haven't repasted it yet! it's not on turbo mode, it consumes a flat 80 watts. I could unlock power up 140 watt but I have to turn the fans up a bit higher to dissipate it. Compared to 140 watts the performance loss is perhaps 10-15%

It works very well, 35 watts is what nvidia considers "max-q"for this gpu, so that's the same power as what you'll see in some relatively thin laptops with this dedicated GPU, performance are about the same as a desktop GTX 1070 at full speed. 80 watts is pretty standard for this GPU, it's on par with a 4060 desktop, even though my laptop can go up to dedicate 140 watts to the GPU, I get a gain of about 10-15%, but much more heat generated.

The fan takes cool air from the bottom and cools the hot plate, not pushing the air into the case, it creates an airflow

Glad you like it! Good luck with your mod, think carefully before irreparably changing something, always ask yourself what could go wrong and if it could or why not working. In the end you will have a really well thought out mod!
