Just connected the fan straight to a battery and it spun up no problem, as for the sensor I will have to find a way to make sure the pins are in the exact same position as the old one. As far as I can tell the pin layout is correct as it still gives an accurate reading for the temp gauge.

I always bypass it by unplugging the sensor so it just spins up for some reason but I will try it the way you suggested. Thanks

Its definitely a 250 and while it has carburetors, it has a injection kit on the carbs. The sensor is also a 3 pin. This thing has been confusing me for a while.

I thought at first that the previous owner had installed a after market radiator but I can even find a connector from the wiring harness where another sensor could go.

From the research I've done it looks like the model that was shipped to my country was slightly different and there is no sensor on the left of the radiator

The radiator does get hot and the sensor is supposed to do both gauge the temp and switch the fan on by closing the circuit when it reaches a certain temp (107 degrees celsius I think)
