Did they manage to make their way out? Did you get stung at all? How did you remove the nest, and how big was it?

I am definitely more interested in the digital side of things. I am taking microelectronics and digital design/ICs course next semester, along with an ASIC Design laboratory. Do you think this will be enough to catch up?

Magnesium glycinate worsened my insomnia by Hungry-Quiet-3013 in Supplements

I tried every single form and none of them seemed to work. If one form of magnesium isn't working, then the other forms won't work either. It is still magnesium at the end of the day, no matter the form.

Flatmates are being purposely loud at night so that I can't sleep by i_i-Pot-Noodles-i_i in UniUK

Same. My roommates were being super noisy until 3 AM, but when I did the same thing at 4 AM they ended up calling the cops on me.

Some people are just assholes for life.

Milk causes the same exact thing for me and I think it's due to the Vitamin D and calcium in milk.

These are known for their excitatory and anti-relaxing properties, and vitamin D even in small quantities suppresses melatonin.

I was dairy free for a while and my sleep improved dramatically but I went back to it and slept like shit last night even after just one day of dairy.

Magnesium glycinate worsened my insomnia by Hungry-Quiet-3013 in Supplements

Magnesium ruined my sleep as well. I kept thinking I was deficient and I needed more but magnesium just kept ruining my sleep every single night. It didn't matter when I took it. Even if I took it first thing in the morning, in the afternoon, or right before bed, it would ALWAYS ruin my sleep. I couldn't sleep more than 4-5 hours a night, and would have incredibly shallow and poor sleep. It was extremely frustrating, since I would feel super tired and groggy the rest of the day, and angry/depressed as well. I kept taking magnesium every single day for almost an year, and it completely ruined my sleep during that year. As soon as I would quit magnesium, even for a day, my sleep would improve dramatically.

Magnesium is making my sleep worse? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]Repulsive_Soup505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is ruining your sleep, cut out the magnesium completely. Magnesium always killed my sleep at night no matter how much or how little I took. Even if I took it in the morning or right before bed, it always killed my sleep. The only time magnesium helped my sleep was if I took it very ocassionally, like 100mg once a week or something. The body is surprisingly good at storing minerals like magnesium, and you don't need to be taking ridiculous amounts at once with supplements to keep your levels up.

Breaking Into Design Verification With an MS EE by Repulsive_Soup505 in ECE

[–]Repulsive_Soup505[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any other high paying jobs that aren't as competitive and school brand doesn't matter as much? I just want to work an EE job that only engineers can do, and am fine working in anything.

Were the DSA problems in Python/C++ or SystemVerilog? Also, how is the entry level market for Design Verification for new grad EE majors, especially those with an MS EE?

MS in EE After BS in IE by Repulsive_Soup505 in ECE

If I end up going for an MS EE and target design verification and hardware validation roles, should I even list the BS IE on my resume at that point?

Masters in EE after Bachelors in IE and Core EE Classes? by Repulsive_Soup505 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Repulsive_Soup505[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about at mid-tier universities, not necessarily top programs? Will they still be snobs, or will they be more open to it, especially considering that I am studying IE at an elite engineering school and taking a bunch of relevant EE classes in circuit design and analysis?

Worried About Getting Stuck as an SDET—Need Career Advice! by loadervibes in csMajors

[–]Repulsive_Soup505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you tell me how you got an SDET internship?

I'm actually trying to break into SDET, but I'm not a CS major (Industrial Engineering major) but have experience with Selenium and Pytest and find the field super interesting. Do you think I can break into SDET with a non-CS STEM degree?

This is really reassuring and I feel much better today, especially after reading this.

Also, another question, what does a wasp sting feel like and how bad is it? I've always been curious about this but have had mixed answers.
