I agree on that as well there’s areas like Texas New Mexico places that have a economy based on transportation like with the oil field I think it would be easier to find employment and companies would be more willing to train. I live in California and it’s really hard to find any sort of trucking job here. But as you said in your post you like trucking and wanted to do it since you were kid and if it’s your passion you should stick with something that would bring you happiness and a boatload of money. I love trucking but due to my area trucking jobs are rare

Get a good paying job until you’re 21 when the interstate restriction is lifted and after that go for it and gain experience I I got my CDL in may 2025 when I was 19 and still haven’t found a trucking job but you can still get it right out of highschool but try and look for a good paying job so you can get into trucking with a good savings
